I am a 39 year old mother of two, wife to the most amazing and caring man, nutritionist, keto coach, lifestyle blogger, recipe developer, and fitness enthusiast. In 2015 I was diagnosed with an extremely rare spinal disease which was followed by a myriad of other medical conditions. With my health continuing to rapidly decline going through the maze that is our medical system, I decided to follow my own path and embark on a holistic journey towards healing. I have a 3921 and the blade replacement is my main issue. I am going to try a well-placed light and see if that helps. I have yet to break a blade. I had the same amount of training you had (out of the box), and I like mine pretty well. I am sorry you have had so many problems.
No disrespect intended but that’s 100% pilot error. I’ve had the WEN for 3 years. Zero issues. Great scrolls can be cut with it. Was plug and play….🤷♂️
I finally got my Thunder Bolt set up. I have so much to learn. My daughter and I are really interested in cutting acrylic. We will definitely follow along with this tutorial. Video's like yours are so much help! Thanks for sharing!
At what point do you get to the tutorial? You can't create a tutorial if have a couple hours experience on a machine. Trying one craft project doesn't make you a teacher. The blades only break with age or tension. They are brand new, which means your dong it too fast or incorrectly. Edit your title and call this an UNBOXING.
I use the camera to help do the setup to cut up the offcuts into manageable pieces. Just do line cuts at the skinniest sections of the offcuts. Then keep the salvageable pieces in a bucket. Save space. Loves the camera.
Beautiful project! I’d love to recreate this, looks so much nicer than that standard pegboard. Only thing that could make this better is including some pricing as well. Thanks 🙏🏼

Corina, I absolutely love this video. Love the detail that you go into especially the layer settings for your Thunder. I just made a prototype with your settings and worked great. I'm making a set for my son-in-law who coaches grandson's team. I'm going to make up a flyer to see if we can get other coaches interested in purchasing. Could you indicate about how much you sell them for? I know it depends on cost of materials and where you live, but if I could get a ball park figure. Thank you.
Hi first of all thank you so much. I have a question my laser name module head 40Watt for diode laser machine. Does the library file work with my laser, Or i have to make a new library ??
I love my WEN scroll saw and have had zero issues. Sounds like alot of your complaints are user error im afraid. Ive had quite a few scroll saws in my 30+ years of woodworking and this IS a decent saw. Ashame you "missed" the footage of you actually scrolling so we could critique and give pointers on your technique
I have always been a great fan of Thunderlaser's great machine design and engineering quality along with their many videos as they attempt to make laser cutting easy for the masses. The matrix test card is a great beginners tool to get you working but it is like training wheels on a bicycle, once you understand how to balance, you remove the trainng aids. If you look at the small details of this test matrix you wil hopefully ask yourself several questions: 1) With the cutting test, once the pieces drop out you lose a lot of valuable observational data. However, look closely at the 25mm/s cut speed and note how "smokey" they are in relation to the 5mm/s cut line. Why? Its the same lens, the same focal distance and the same powers. 2)Compare the width of cut (the kerf) between the 25mm/s cut and the 5mm/s cut. Why is the 5mm/s cut twice as wide when its the same lens, the same focal distance and the same power? 3)With the engraving test, I have always been perpexed at what it shows you. It seems to show that as you increase power the colour gets darker. This is a fallacy because if it were true the colour would get darker ON THE SURFACE. Look closer and you will observe that increasing the power is making the engraving deeper and smokier. Again you should ask yourself why this is happening? How useful would this be on thin card? 4)The width of the burnt laser engraving line changes with speed and power. There is no compensation of line spacing in these tests. Slower speeds and greater power means thicker lines and double burning as lines overlap. 5)Focal distance set to the manufacturer's OPTICAL specification rarely gives optimal cutting or engraving performance because your laser beam has an INTENSITY focus that changes with speed, power, material and position on the table. So.these test patterns need to be done at different focal distances to find optimum performance chracteristics. If you never observe these issues, ask questions as to why and look for answers, then you will for ever be stuck with your training wheels. Great as Thunderlaser are they do not really understand the technology they sell beyond skin deep. To extract the best performance from your machine there is so much more to understand. Beautiful sign!! I purchased the same Wen Scroll Saw, I had the same issues as you... The only difference is, my saw is sitting in the corner of my shop collecting dust. I am not sure if I will ever use it again.. HA HA HA
Interesting method! If you didn't already have a thunder machine, would you opt for a 3D printer and use pla filament instead? I'm a newbie and was wondering what machine would be most time efficient and cost effective in the long-term when making 3D keychains. Thanks!
Sorry, can see others trying to figure out that "duplicate" section. I'm really struggling with this. I'm trying to watch what you're doing and process what you're saying. It just don't make any sense... It looks as though you're making a frame and then pressing duplicate!? Still don't show up as an inverted layer for me to preview how the stamp is going to look...
No complaints yet! I think because I have to head screaming kids, they don’t complain 😂. My vent also heads more towards the golf course we are adjacent to!
I just watch this video, it is great! Thank you for sharing. You can create your square or any shape in the same layer as your object or letters it will turn negative. Don't forget to mirror the image before you make the project.
It is 3M... I bought a few rolls on Alibaba which did save quite a bit of money! You just need to find a seller with lots of reviews and less expensive shipping!!!
It’s an amazing machine isn’t it?!?! And I will raise my acrylic depending on what I’m using it for. If I’m glueing down like I did for these, no. Otherwise I would!

This machine's blade storage set up and blade changing abilities already included with the machine when it arrives is a crafter's delight. If the storage area is a pain, there's always the use of plastic tubes from cigars, medical swabs, and they'll be a lot more reliable than any other storage device in helping us to keep our blades straight, and free from rust, esp. in warm humid climates. I'm very keen on getting one of these saws now that my beloved old 16" Craftsman's blade installation connector broke and the pieces are unavailable. Yes, I could order a converter kit from Olson, but I'm almost 72, recovered from three strokes and I'm not sure if investing in a new saw from the get go might not be a better investment considering that the conversion kit represents nearly a third of what a new Wen for 120.00 from Amazon would cost. But this Wen looks like a very good deal.
