As someone who isn't a Digimon fan, gotta say, I really love this batch of designs. The color schemes really work, and even if (SPOILERS, the third)mon feels a bit over-designed, everything else here is solid. I personally really love (the fourth)mon, it's great.
My scores as a yugioh veteran: round 1: 2 points, obvious answers. 2 points round 2: I know Musician King like the back of my hand, I even know he had an anime-only metalmorph transformation, heavy metal king. 2 points round 3: here I would have said big koala (which was meant to be sea koala) and des koala, which was half wrong. 2 points round 4: I know Barrel Dragon and Blowback Dragon well. 2 points round 5: I would have called mitch out on electrum because I know it's all of them. 4 points :) round 6: Master of Ham came out in 2023. I don't really know much about Rare Fish other than it being a lv4 WATER "Ready Fusion" target. So I would have done 7 colored and mermaid. 1 point 12 points >:3
I haven't watched the video yet and I'm already really excited to see these three guys heads explode over why some random ass monsters fuse into some totally different random ass monster and there being next to no logic. (For most of the early fussions) This has to be hilarious.
58:03 C'mon Tyler, don't be wrong outside of questions too... Svarog's motivations for fighting the Main Character & Co. is to preserve humanity, or at least the humans in the Underworld. He knew that Stellarons bring disaster, so any band of fools getting their grubby little hands on it would be very bad. He elected to lock down the Underworld to keep it safe from outside threats (namely the Stellaron), and without the Astral Express's Stellaron-housing variable, he may well have been right, what with Cocolia trying to freeze the world over. The Underworlders might not have lasted long in this hypothetical, but it's preferable to getting hit with a planet-wide Snowgrave. Or at least that's what I remember from my playthrough of the quest.
Almost every Fusion that makes sense in DM era, is a canonical Fusion from the manga. The ones that don't make sense, are filler cards from the anime, or cards converted into Fusions by Konami. Most likely to try and bolster the Fusion line up, since in the manga, there's like 3, maybe 4, in the entirety of Duelist Kingdom. And that's why Flame Swordsman is a Normal Monster in the anime and manga, but a Fusion in the real card game. Well, at least his materials make more sense than the others they changed into Fusions.
I was really hoping you'd put Starving Venom Fusion Dragon and then put the options all be Viable fusion targets for SVFD for one but Electrum is funnier.
I like how instead of realizing that fan/funbeemon is it supposed to be a drone/worker bee, forgeBeemon is a worker/builder bee, vespamon is a warrior bee, and queenbeemon is a queen bee, which are all different categories in a hive, your reasoning is that the welder bee decides to mush a bunch of knight bees together into a death throne for the booby bee.
Characters are naked because being nakes is synonym of being pure in Japanese culture, that's why you see many naked people in many anime opening... Even if Honkai Star Rail is fucking chinese, but whatever, they clearly target anime fans
For a second I was considering it could be a quiz about Yugioh Forbidden Memories, but the fusion mechanics in that game are far too complex for something like this.
maybe the real Koalo Koala fusion, is the friends we made along the way :) btw gotta hand it to Nico for successfully meta-playing most quizzes and adding "well, actually🤓"s even in the most impossible situations xD
14:03 - Kind of Disappointed that none of the Rokkets/Borreload Dragons made the cut since they're dragons based on guns too. But Overdrive was too perfect to *NOT* include. 15:11 - Apparently that's just called the "Ejector" or "Ejection Port". Pretty banal phrasing for things with "Slides", "Clips/Magazines", and the act of "Cocking". 27:44 - Rare Fish was a great inclusion because A) Master of Ham hasn't been released in Master Duel yet and knowing about the existence of this card makes me happy. And B) it was good to shake things up by including a fusion monster that requires another fusion that isn't obvious like Dragon Master Knight or Dark Flare Knight. That said, I was also *REEEEAAAAALLY* hoping for one of the less famous but no less painfully stupid fusions that you should look up: Roaring Ocean Snake. Bonus stupid fact about it, despite Sea Serpant monsters being among the fewest in number in the entire game, and this card having the words *OCEAN* and *SNAKE* in its name, it is *NOT* a Sea Serpant monster. Oh! And Sanwitch! That thing's just too adorable even if it is straightforward.
I cannot believe they didn’t use Igglybuff for the baby. It’s literally the baby stage! Why would they use Jigglypuff?! F on what would have been a strong A otherwise.
Honestly it's kinda hard to think of other options for this quiz. Most of the other fusion monsters I can think of either have non-specific materials, or incredibly obvious materials. Except for more of the really old ones.
