Видео отличное, как в плане визуальной составляющей, так и в плане истинности. Я искренне уважаю Конфедерацию Ирокезов, я считаю, что это было одно из самых интересных государств индейцев. Моё уважение автору за его труд.
Ive always like the idea that even the book 1984 itself is skewed by oceanias misinformation and propaganda and oceania is really just the British isles
Yes. In effect, it's easier to research one area at a time and make videos for each part than release everything all at once. Prevents a burnout on my end from the multiple hundred books and articles that this project will end up needing.
A complicated process involving QGIS, Inkscape and Paint.net. To simplify it though, I use OpenStreetMaps a base. I draw coastlines over that, and georeference historic maps using OpenStreetMaps. From there I add extra elements like cities, borders, provinces, and so on. Likely for 5 000 subs I will make a tutorial
This work of research and inquiry definitely needs more attention. An underrated part of WW1 history presented in an entertaining and aesthetically appealing way. Good work, sir.
Yep, that was the name I found at the time being most used, so I went with Urundi (or, at least it was the first name I saw in my first source, so it stuck). There's a small note that appears around 0:10 in the south, although I should have also added that in the video description too
I think a good question is, how hard was the counter propaganda war of NATO actually. Like aight Big Brother controlls everything etc... Except its what it wants everyone to believe not factual 100% there mustve been some commando operations that started spreading some news to cause trouble etc...
I’m glad to find someone who shares my interests in tribal Africa and America! You are killing it, if you ever need help in regards to certain sources (especially in America), hit me up!
I can (and will) although for now this video covers the Chilembwe Uprising, or the main anticolonial revolt in that part of the world during WW1. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-FVcYBCbzUEk.htmlsi=pomOJruipNaPFR4Q
Really got me thinking. I’d also like to make my own fall of Oceania scenario (included with the fall of Eastasia and Eurasia too). Some time maybe by the 2050’s, 2040’s or 2060’s, resources eventually grow scarce between the empires due to constant warfare with one another, and fighting the wars becomes increasingly difficult as in the warzone the oppressed peoples being at the forefront of the violence establish their own states and societies, largely based off democracy. Ofc they’re initially weak but over they grow increasingly resilient to the empires and eventually able to ward them off. The downfall really kicks off when 2 Indian states encircle thousands of Eastasian and Eurasian troops in a battle titled “the siege of Mumbai,” in which the battle would take months on end, however eventually the troops trapped within the city would be forced to surrender and would send shockwaves across the globe. It would be the straw that broke the camel’s back for Eastasia, which at this point was a shell of what it once was. Eastasia, despite being ideologically identical to the other 2 powers would be much poorer and far more unstable, and would really only get worse as years went. Eventually after the battle of Mumbai, the information about the democratic Indian states and their resounding victory in Mumbai would contribute to inspiring an uprising in Tokyo, which would lead to a Japanese war for independence against Eastasia. Protests and rebellions across Eastasia would plunge it into another warlord era, which would ultimately result in Eastasia fracturing into dozens of states. Eurasia and Oceania would secretly try keeping Eastasia together but they’d face their own problems. For too long Ukrainians in Eurasia have been treated like absolute garbage. Eurasia’s grip on power over it’s population would loosen after generations of new leaders and party infighting, before Ukrainian insurgents which had been secretly fighting in Eurasia for years would start a rebellion in Ukraine, while SSR’s such as the German and French ones would declare independence. Rebellions, Successions, and war would kill Eurasia. Oceania after the death of big brother (who was earl browder, leader of the American communist party, in this timeline), would go through generations of new leaders and party infighting would result into the regions of Oceania succeeding, such as Brazil, which would be followed by most nations in South America . In Oceania, the empire is controlled by amsoc, ingsoc is the British subsidiary to the party, there’s things such as brazsoc, cubsoc, Perusoc or whatever. Africans in Oceania’s South Africa command would rebel, while the various regions of Oceania would succeed. Oceania would try and fail to use force to keep the regions under their control, however by around the 2090’s, none of this would matter as the malevolent authoritarianism of these powers would phased out for benevolent anarchism. The empires would have collapsed. By around the 2120’s authoritarianism would become a thing of the past.
The Bulgars were the slave owners of the slavs the same way that the ottomans would later control Bulgaria and the balkans it's honestly surprising that the Bulgarians didn't adopt the ottoman national identity
@@originalw01theonlyone The Bulgar tribe was Proto-Ukrainian from Zaporozhye (the northern part of Sea of Azov). Asparuh, Kubrat and some other noble Bulgars were buried in their homeland Ukraine. The Ukrainian archaeologist Hrinchenko found the tomb of Asparuh during the construction of a factory near Voznesenka village, Zaporozhye. Britannica - "...Although many scholars, including linguists, had posited that the Bulgars were derived from a Turkic tribe of Central Asia (perhaps with Iranian elements), modern genetic research points to an affiliation with western Eurasian and European populations...". “Novel analyses of proto-Bulgarians epigraphic monuments, especially, of the major historical inscription - “The List of the Bulgarian Monarchs” - have revealed that the proto-Bulgarian language did not belong to the Turkic linguistic family. Therefore, leading turkologists [14]-[16] do not consider proto-Bulgarians a Turkic people, as also attested by the adoption of distinctive calendar systems by the two groups" - "Y-Chromosome Diversity in Modern Bulgarians: New Clues about Their Ancestry", Sena Karachanak, Viola Grugni, Simona Fornarino, Desislava Nesheva, Nadia Al-Zahery, Vincenza Battaglia, Valeria Carossa, Yordan Yordanov, Antonio Torroni, Angel S. @@Gotse.Delchev.Reborn😂 Bulgarians are these losers that let their country to be destroyed in a decade by NATO while everyone else tried to save theirs you really want me to believe you aren't the decent of slaves!??!? THE BULGARS ARE TURKS LIKE THE OTTOMANS AND JUST LIKE THEM THEY WERE YOUR OWNERS
Technically until 1895. In the future I'll make a video focused exclusively on Guinea-Bissau, hopefully exploring the history of that tiny part of Africa in more detail.
There's no terrain, I don't use it for my maps. It keeps the file size of individual frames down and frankly, I find it distracting as it takes attention away from subdivision names and cities
I don't use PDN's, I export my image layers into PNG first. There is some software like Ifranview I use to do batch conversions, so instead of clicking "save as png" 500+ times I keep all files as PDN, add them in the converter when I'm done and convert them all then and there, it saves very much effort on my end
The Ohori Ije? A collection of some 20 or so villages in federation within swampy area. The swamps allowed made outside conquest difficult for the Oyo Empire and, later, France. I was surprised during research to see a region so close to the coast still independent by 1914 and even during the First World War. The extreme agitation continued for decades with the source I was reading even describing non-violent resistance some years into an independent Dahomey (Benin) in the 1960's.
