State sanctioned murder is just so harsh, so extreme as to be similar to the unconscionable acts that got the person there. I think I get why some people wish to commit the same crime in retribution but I cannot go there myself. There actually are innocent people condemned to die, erroneously, so it can never be supported in my heart Go on now, hate on me.
When the narrator says “The electrician” he’s talking about the executioner and not some actual electrician who’s there to check the contacts and wires. It’s kind of a gross way of sanitizing the whole thing
I only hear loud banging sounds as if Im pushing a cart on some bumpy tiles on a parking lot. I expected like a long buzzing zap sound or like a electric fly racket going pak pak pak!
Back in the Soviet Union (and Russia until 1996), a single shot to the back of the head was used. It's more humane in my opinion. Often the execution was carried out unexpectedly, as the condemned was being led through a hallway. The executioner had to get familiar with the case materials, which included graphic photos of the victims, so that he didn't feel any remorse.
I wonder if anyone was given the drug that stops people moving first, then the potassium chloride and then the anaesthetic by a very cruel executioner?
My uncle was pulled feet first in to one , possibly tried to kick a log and got pulled in. Tore the inner portion of his thigh and he was gone in about 20 seconds. By the time anyone got to the machine he was in the last chance cables. Damage already done. This happened 3 months ago
A few years ago my dog broke into my house & started fighting my cat. I lay injured on the ground couldn't get up. I pressed my alarm screaming help me to the operator (my address comes up automatically) but she just sat there listening to me scream & after a few minutes asks me what she wants her to do. Im wtf im injured call the ambos , my family ... help! My cat passed away & i spent 6 weeks in hospital after 2 surgeries.
I have every respect for American justice but I cannot understand how anyone could be kept on Death Row for decades then executed. The execution itself is a long drawn out ritual it seems. Here in the UK, when we had proper punishment this sort of crime, the condemned had about two to three weeks before execution. In the meantime any appeals were heard and were allowed or dismissed within this period. The execution itself took about ten seconds from the condemned sitting in the condemned cell to stone dead on the end of the rope. Nowadays the most vicious murderers are free after about thirty years, including Colin Pitchfork who raped and murdered two fifteen year old schoolgirls. He was the very first man to be convicted on DNA evidence. This man should never have been released.
Out of interest why is it a requirement to read the `death order` to the convict just before executing them ? This is just delaying the most dreadful moment for the already frightened prisoner. It is bureaucracy gone mad
The thing about using the same gurney seems to me a little concerning for the inmates family, they might walk in and think it’s a lethal injection and then see there family member with a creepy gas mask on, just something to think about
As an electrician for over 20 years, I've been hit with 220 volts a couple times and it knocked me senseless, so I doubt they felt much unlike the terrible things they did to deserve it. Stop trying to victimize monsters.
