i got diagnosed with typr 2 diabetes in november 2023 and my blood tests showed my creatinine level was 121 maximum should be 120. i did interminetent fasting for 2 monts and had blood test done 15 january 2024 and my creatinine level went down to 66. i then got stressed and been eating really bad from february until now which is june and i am panicking because my urine is bubbly in morning. i have urine test booked in 2 weeks time.i hope its not bad im worried.because when i had urie test back in december 2023 my test came back clean no kidney disease, but this bubbly urine in morning is really worrying me 😢😢😢😢

Ok, Dr.BS... now explain why some people would gain weight "drinking water", while other are eating chips, cakes, soda drinks, pizza, burgers, and so on, all day and night long, have no sleep regime, don't sleep enough, don't do any sports.... And do have their six-pack? ...you would say : "genetics"... But what does it means? It means, mainly that your body produces its own, random hormonal mixture. Which is usually - far from ideal. While people get prescribed hormonal therapy to change gender, hormonal therapy is prohibited to fix the obesity, oldness, allergies, and so on. Because these kind of doctors are casted in standard university "doctor shape", and do not have any thoughts themselves. They just repeat after each-other all the nonsense!
Bro aim sorry but the majority of slow carbs taste like absolute pure ass even their damn texture in your mouth is awful. Ive been losing weight with no slow carbs. Already down 100 lbs in the last 3 years.
If you have an A1C of 6.0 - 6.1, but a 30 -60 day average glucose reading of 98-101, do these two sets of numbers correlate? I would think with an A1C of 6.0 - 6.1 the glucose average would be higher?? Please help. I’m new at figuring these things out.
Dr Jason whatever you are saying s very right, i have reduced my weight by following the fasting, but u & other doctors always ask us not to eat processed food which is not healthy, as u said our grand parents didnt eat snacks as it is not available @ that time, my question s y you are not asking govts to ban the Process food manufacturers where we dont get the source to get & eat, there if there s no source of sugar r processed foods available in market there s no chance of getting obesity r diseases

Dear Dr Fung, like most of your followers, I struggle with weight control and I have watched lots of RU-vidrs present this subject. Maybe it's due to a combination of scientific evidence and logic, but without a doubt, in my opinion, your video's are the best. Please keep posting content, you help us all change our mindset and habits with each video.
What happens to insulin secretion when glucose from 'slow' carbs enter the bloodstream gradually? Does insulin stay elevated as long as extra glucose is entering the bloodstream?
Slowly work yourself into long fasts and do plenty of research before because we need to break longer fasts differently and slowly introduce certain foods. Bone broth or vegetable broth is recommended to do first then wait an hour and eat an avocado or lean protein salt/pepper only. I would then recommend to wait two more hours or more depending on how long you fasted before you eat your regular meals.

Dr. Fung/A fasting Team mbr: Just completed a 33 day ext fast. Did blood work before completion - primary care doc a little concerned; my Uric Acid from normal (prefast) to 14.2 (norm rng: 2.6-7.2). I was urinating more & it was actually burning a little. PSA spiked from my norm of 1.xxx to 5-that'll freak any guy out. Wondering if you can help me make sense of my chemical reaction. FYI, easing back into refeeding. Within 24 hours (bone broth veg soup to start), burning sensation subsided & have new blood work draw scheduled at 8 weeks post-fast to assess. Be interested to hear any thoughts; FYI, lost 70lbs of my target 100 over the 33 days. This works & thanks for hanging in there.
I will disagree regarding eschewing all breads. Definitely all commercial breads, chocked full of preservatives and highly processed commercial flour. I discovered Sue Becker's videos regarding the damage that commercial flours (even so called commercial wheat flour) has done to our diets. Jesus said, "I am the bread of Life. Would He have used bread as an analogy if breads were harmful? I think not. I now grind my own wheat berries and bake my own bread using honey rather than processed sugar and coconut oil in the recipe. This bread contains all the bran, fiber and germ that have been stripped from commercial flours. Otherwise Dr fung is spot on. I lost 40 lbs with IF and watched numerous of his videos for encouragement. I've kept the weight off nearly 2 years, something that I've never done before. By the way, I'm 72. The government pyramid is nonsense. IF is now my lifestyle. Blessings to you Dr Fung!
This doctor needs to be cloned and put into every medical school to re-educate doctors with correct information about health. Wow, I am trying to gather as much research as I can for intermittent fasting and its affect on weight loss so that I can lose some fat. 3 weeks ago, I was at 160 lb without IF (just exercising and eating more nutritious food), and now I’m at 155.4, but I’m excited to see how I’ll do with IF. I’m trying to go down to 120. 16 y/o F at 5’2, so I’m hoping for more growth and to look and help my body later on in life. I don’t think I can do OMAD without binging right now, (i know that it’s a gradual process and you have to work your way down) and not sure if my parents will let me do a 24 hr fast, but the 16/8 fast is definitely possible!! i have always loved my fruit and vegetables and i have always worked out but still got Thyroid disease and 3 weeks ago i was told i have Diabetes and may need needles and i have kidney damage. and seeing a specialist
I thought it was a great idea to get a cgm.. I have done 3 Freestyle CGM and only the first one worked properly.. the last 2 said I was in danger of sugar being too low/in the 60's range. Tested with my BGM and it was 127! So be careful which brand you use I guess. Maybe my right arm doesn't like being jabbed.. idk. But for 40.00 bucks every 2 weeks.. not worth it to just throw it in the garbage..
I think there are people like me who are super sensitive even to the steel cut oats . When I was a high wholegrain vegetarian I had severe problems with satiety so I ate oats as it was meant to be very satisfying.. I ate organic steel cut oats - generally on their own or maybe with full fat natural greek yoghurt. They made me as hungry as alcohol does.! I checked on various nutritional forums and lots of people were saying ' oats do not satisfy hunger ' . In my case even the steel cut organic ones do not . In my experience - not having breakfast controls hunger better than any carb based one .✌️
best way is starving...means intermittend fasting plus complete days on zero...and learn to avoid fruits with high sweetness! i recently noticed what makes me really feeling sick, it is fruit! not even sweets as such in modertaion as a table closure...but really fruit! same dishes no fruit, zero problems and ate 1 kilo of cheese extra not fasting at all....no weight gain! ...no cheese and starving 24 hrs bcs sick after fruit! so no pineapples to pizza or meat, no fruits afterwards and no cakces with fruit...and no kompottes either...fruits are harmful, bcs our grown variants are like fructose loaded sweets! so even table sugar would be better...it is crazy! we were told how to eat ourselves sick since the 70 ies! e is a hood one without any radicalism...just eating less, changing dietary habist, switching out foods to a healthier replacement...it works! i wuit spirts besides hiking once a week for 5 yrs by now and got healthy just by switching food choices...and i dine out chines 4 times a week! not kidding!
Not only did I overeat after my fast but I ate bad quinoa. I gave myself food poisoning. OMG, such sorrow from all openings. ugh. Honestly, I was so dumb; there was too much food, food that was hard to digest, and bacteria. My poor clean body was self-assaulted. Next time, I will be so mindful. I worried that I might have done harm, but 5 days later I recovered and resumed a careful refeed.
