Hey, thanks for acknowledging that the world outside of the US exists! I'm not used to that from US-based RU-vidrs.

Transferred from ACS ramp and love it. I’ve been flying for 6 years and wouldn’t change a thing. It’s literally the best job. Just picked up a 32hr SJU layover….did I tell you I love my job 😂✈️

Trying to get into the profession. No mainline hiring right now it seems. Just got denied by a regional airline. Maybe because I am 6'1" and/or have a tattoo on my forearm. Maybe they just didn't want me😂 I ain't giving up tho

mainline hiring is slowing down for sure.. but keep your eyes open cause if travel keeps up like this, there may be more hiring in 2025 👀 also, tattoo can be covered with long sleeves and 6'1 would be rough for regional, so I agree mainline is the move 😂 love the attitude 🙌🏼

@@EastonExplores heck yeh, man. Preciate the video💪🏾 Been looking at a crap ton of vlogs from FAs, gathering as much info as I can. Only career that seems to interest me tbh. Wish the pay was better😅 but I think I'd be able to manage... after "a few couple of years" lol

I really enjoyed watching the video; it was very informative. However, when it comes to the interview process, people often say 'You must be able to fit the jump seat', but I was wondering if there's a more specific requirement, such as a particular belt size. Knowing this information would help me better prepare for future interviews. Thank you again for you channel.
@EastonExplores

Thank you! and there really isn't a relative belt size that correlates with the jumpseat harness.. there are just so many different aircraft and variations of those aircraft. But all jumpseat harnesses can adjust to many different body types! Wish there was a more straight forward answer.

When I first applied at Delta in 1991, they still had a weight requirement. I was overweight at that time. However, I have reapplied at Delta as a an LOD. Did not make it this time as classes were all full. Looking forward to the Fall when a new req comes out.

Now that's wild. I didn't know Delta kept that standard to the 90's! I missed that in the museum. Did you automatically get put on a "wait list" until classes open back up?

I would think that in the early days of aviation, weighing the people on the plane would be logical to make sure the plane wasn't overloaded. Wasn't Aliyah killed in a crash due to overloading the plane?
@EastonExplores

Weighing people was not uncommon, but also not universal practice. Not every airline weighed passengers, yet they weighed FA’s for a “beauty” standard.
