Adult Swim may have unfairly canceled it, but they were totally aware of how good Moral Orel was and that it deserved to be celebrated. It’s awesome to see how proud everyone involved with the show is of their work-a much-deserved sendoff!
a promotion that shrinks down the first few minutes of the athf movie and tells you that you're watching the movie by interrupting a show and a bump with obnoxious reminders that you are watching the movie in the lower left corner AND that the movie is coming to theaters is gold
Very cool! I vaguely remember seeing popeye on cn, but it's cool to have this detail. I am remaking adult swim and CN in it's classic form (albeit customized, but the idea is to recall from the way it was before, but modify it to fit multiple eras and memories into one week based time schedule). I decided to make saturday the sort of boomerang day, with popeye starting it off at 6am. I was debaiting on running popeye at 5am... and it's just popeye shorts strung together. I couldn't find the full popeye show... But I feel like 6am makes it still enjoyable. 5am makes it harder to watch, and I end Adult swim on 6am... So i'm adding these bumps to it. Very cool, but it makes popeye kind of this limbo where Adult swim has it's sign off bumper (the dawn is your enemy), but then you have these bumps, then at 6:30 you get the CN sign on bumper.
1:56 I haven't heard that Arby's slogan in forever; at the time of writing, their slogan is "We Have the Meats," and has been for the last 5 years or so.
2000-2015 adult swim was a bedfellow to me growing up. A steady constant to all those years. Now at 27 i miss the days when cable TV was the norm and streaming was non existant or very obscure. I would come home from long hot summer days, get showered and cozy and watch king of the hill as the sun set. Then watch family guy, the boondocks, squidbillies, athf robot chicken etc.
