Hello Alex, I am so glad that you did a review on this cam, I had asked for this a while back but you had said that you were hesitant because if it being a motorized dash cam but I am glad you reconsidered. I really like a lot of the features and the fact that it follows people when in parking mode, I was going to mention this as I saw this in another review but you got it in that last minute, bravo. The video is outstanding, especially at night and I was surprised it was that good and yes, It would be an improvement to have it stay left rather than having to get your phone to do it especially while driving. The other thing that I would have liked to see on this cam is a rear cam option, that would make it more complete. Great review as always.
Thank you Ken! Ah yes I think you are right, adding a rear camera to this system would take it to a whole new level. It be great if they can sell it then as a single channel or dual channel system. But yeah I was surprised at the performance of the Omnivision sensor, and with a polarizing filter, I bet the image quality could be even pushed further. Cheers!
Another well done review! 👍👍👍 Owned my 70mai Omni for a year now never faltering once throughout last summer or this winter. Have it hardwired yet I have no real need for parking mode where I live here in Canada. At the time, I purchased mainly because it was different but then found out the ability to rotate / capture has come in handy on several occasions so ending up being worth it to me... I run multiple dash cams so we are always covered no matter what 😁

Very detailed review! Just watched your NEXAR 1 PRO review as well. I just wish the 70mai had cloud recording/live streaming option which would make it awesome!
Thank you Gautham! Ah yes 70mai does support cloud functionality but is limited to areas in Europe and Asia but unfortunately USA is not on the list of supported countries yet. I don't recall if you mentioned this, but the camera does a pretty good job of recording front and sides, but not very good shooting cars and other things behind the car.
Hi Paul! Ah yes this single channel dash cam will not capture the rear of the vehicle as well as a 2 channel system with a dedicated rear camera mounted on the rear of the car. Hi Luis! Wifi enabled dash cams do not let you see a live view or access the videos while your away from the car. Thank you DFWMoose! Ah while I have not tested the Tandem, Garmin was the dash cam that got me hooked on dash cams. How do you record? I just bought it today. When I turn on my vehicle it says it's recording. I drove around for a bit. But I see no footage of my drive once I was done driving. Please Help! Does it only record if I only use the voice commands?
Hi Andrew! Is its always recording. You may have to check to other folders to see your videos (remember as shown on the video, the recordings are sorted out in folders) Cheers!

Hi Naeeem! The camera can be pointed in any direction as shown in the video (it stays there when you move it). The selfie mode is different, that turns takes a video and turns back to the front. Cheers!
Hi A! Yes it does, remember it uses loop recording (like all dash cams do). It constantly records and cnce the memory car is full, the video beings to be overwritten starting with the oldest clip ensuring you have fresh video available while overwriting old video, Cheers!
I have this camera and it hard wire in and the whole time I had it parking mode never worked otherwise I love the dash cam and yes I want to get another so I don’t have to keep transferring to another car
Hi Justin! When correctly hardwired the dash cam will turn off and enter park mode (if enabled in the dash cam's setting) when the car is off. I would have the installer check all the connections (ACC, BATT & GND) to confirm that they connected to the correct locations for ACC and BATT (I seen cases where the dash cam stays on constantly if ACC and BATT are reversed or connected to the incorrect locations that does not provide power at the correct time for both ACC and BATT) Here is my follow up detailed hardwire install if you want to see that process ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-K2iKXj82354.html Cheers!
I wire it my self the first time I thought it was my wiring so I rewired (yellow) to the battery I did use a fuse I did the same on both my truck and xB 2 separate wiring kits every work as it should but the parking and yes it’s enabled

Hi Mr. Boniato! Ah I think this will appeal to those that want the 360 view control (specially for parking monitoring) as most dash cams can only monitor the front or rear of a vehicle where this one can look 360 for the suspect that triggered it. That being said I usually recommend at a minimum 2 independent dash cam systems for redundancy and maximum coverage, assuming budget allows (so the Omni would be one just one of those systems as opposed to a replacement). Now if budget is not a concern then 3 independent dash cam systems would be the way to go as some of my other viewers have done (with the 3rd camera being a body cam or a 3rd dash cam, I'm actually currently working on adding my 3rd dash cam to my current full time setup lol) Cheers!
