Thanks for this video. Very helpful. Kitchen Aid is made by Whirlpool. I have a WP GI15NDXZB1 which has nearly the same compressor, coil, fan system arrangement. My fan was getting 120v and not turning. My unit is a 15” width and the video is the wider 18” model. No fun being smaller. Anyway, the key is the Remove the 4 screws that hold the base on and tilting it so you have access. Thanks for that tip! I found it was easiest to lift the black plastic cage and slide the fan under and out at the bottom. It. Was. Still. Not. Easy. The fan gets hooked and its hard to get it free.
Mine appears to be from 2016 and I bought it on Craigslist. So far Ive replaced the bin thermistor, the circ pump which is a combination pump and fill empty sensor (pump fine, sensor fail), and now the evaporator cooling fan. :D I keep mine in the basement near a floor drain because ice makers are notorious for leaking.
I have the newer model bought 2023 it has a MW on the end then a zero at the end of its model number MW0. Cannot find any info anywhere that shows the proper knob positioning to get the blinking codes lit for this model. Thanks anyway.
Our fridge is still cooling but its not cooling itself anymore and getting very hot. does that mean it needs to be replaced or is there something that can be done? The fan is working so not sure what the failure is
I have Asko D5436 dishwasher. It gave f12 error couple times. I took out its fuses and put it back after touching with a screwdriver. Now, it is not giving any error but it is not taking any water. What do you think the problem could be? Should I replace PCB or water inlet valve? Thanks in advance
This was huge! I couldn’t re calibrate to save my life. Until he showed how to get out of diagnostic mode. Then after holding the start button I was able to run the recalibrate process. Thanks!
I'm having trouble getting the kickplate off. The screws are out, but it won't budge! I need to know specifically which direction to push or pull before I end up breaking it. I'm searching online but I can't find any data on this washer.
So lg tells me that the parts are covered but that I’ll have to pay $400-$1000 for labor. Is that valid? Like, why should I have to pay anything for a defective product? I can’t even DIY this. I hate life. I hate LG.
Kudos for working in such a tight space and still putting your camera in a spot to get a good shot! This is a pain in the arse even without a camera in your way!!
I have question. I've done 2 dual evap compressor replacement. And I'm always getting negative readings when freon installed. Like it's showing vacuumed reading, but I've learned that's blocked sealed system. This only on 3 valve dual evaporator. Can give me some advice
several law suits going as lg has not fix vompresdor and want 700 to replace. they spin you and refuse to honor the court orders. now its s federal ftaud case.
Super helpful video. Instead of paying $160 for a service call, then $20 for every six minutes of labor ($200/hour), and a $200 drain pump (that was out of stock anyway), I found a drain pump online for $55 and watched this video and installed it myself. Now our 15-year-old washing machine works again! Thanks!
Never in my experience as a union 17 yr medical gas installer have I used any type of Flux when brazing... Flux is for soldering. Brazing is a much higher temperature. Tell me why you did?
I have the same machine as your.......I cannot find the error code list....the only one I can find is for those with the electronic display......where can I find a list of codes that displays what the error is based on the number of blinks
Reattaching the belt was a problem as I couldn't see inside the machine when I took it off. User @user-tx9zw4ld9x included a video in their comment that resolved that puzzle for me. See at 10:04 of this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-T2hH97QWif4.html My one other problem is that one of the two tabs on the control panel that get screws through them snapped off! I have glued it together. I hope it holds and I can complete the reassembly. I was able to start the dryer so I know that everything is connected so far.
Great to read the reprogramming solution shared above. GOLD! ...but note: it can be even simpler- i fixed it by cleaing the inlet valve on the dishwasher inlet hose at the tap end (low pressure being the DOCUMENTED cause) , see "unblocking the inlet hose filter" instructions 32 of manual for the asko DB1865IGXXL... or any manul for a washer or dishwasher has similar instructions . I have cleaned maby a tiny blockage from inlet hose filters over the years. But notw. It needed a few starts before it was "happy" witht the pressure. Note akso our water oressure fluctuates in Sydney a lot due to ancient street pipes bursting periodically. My washing machine detects low water pressure very sensitively despite oerfectly clean and new inket filter. So worth checking all of these things befire calling a service persin or needlessly reolacing a board.
Great video only other thing would be nice to see is the spring on/off and back on correctly. I’m forgot was flipping around a few times before settled on the spring position
My compressor has q black sticky like pad on top and on the back side. They melted eventually in the original compressor after some time and melted right away after I changed it. Is this normal? What are those black pads? Sound/vibration dampers?
Thank you very very much. I did this yesterday but the arm is stuck in up position. Any suggestions on how to make it go down? I’ve reset the whole refrigerator and did the from panel on and off. Any help is appreciated.
Just finished doing mine, the deice pulley would not move. Took it off cleaned it with steel wool, silicone it. since I had it apart did the rollers and vacuumed out all the lint
