With these manufacturers (who likely either have their products actually made in China or who obtain these potentially cancer-causing ingredients from China), money is ALL that matters. How insane is it that the US is helping its enemies prosper and giving full academic scholarships to our enemies’ students!!! No wonder our country’s longstanding reputation for great strength and wisdom has become a world class laughing stock!!!
I'm very happy to see studies as the PRISE confirm the importance of specific forms of exercise (together with protein intake) as an effective tool for improving health, and in particular reducing belly fat. Making such information more readily available to the average person, in a language that is easily understood, is of great importance. Kudos to you for spreading the word! Love your show!
I take all of these supplements and walk outside everyday . I have normally thin bones . I’m short and 122. My osteoporosis hasn’t gotten worse . I’m also 61 .
Hi Dr. Patricia, You posted a short that I can’t find now, on RU-vid, about eating breakfast at 10am so that you prevent too much cortisol from building up. I typically start eating later afternoon so I guess I’ll try to change this but I wanted to ask - why 10, what’s that based on, the circadian rhythm? What if I am going to bed around 2am every night (which I have lately) - will the breakfast time to prevent cortisol be different at that point? Like 11 or 12 instead of 10? Does the 8pm rule for ending eating for the day, also change according to someone’s sleep/ wake cycle too? If you could advise, based on the best of knowledge you have, I’d appreciate the guidance if you don’t mind , only if you’re willing to respond. Also, I wanted to ask, in case you or anyone has any insight or have similar experience.. I am wondering why whenever I change my diet a bit and eat more healthy, I get this taste in my mouth that is produced on its own, much after I’ve digested the food.. and it can taste good, but not very identifiable as to what it tastes like as it’s just as much a feeling as a taste that’s perhaps tingly. I was thinking maybe it’s a sign of some detox going on. Do you ever get this, though? I’d like to find someone who actually gets this that understands what I mean. Because it happens a lot with me. Thanks again
Hi! This video contains the answer to your first question, and regarding taste in mouth after eating changes, look at the back of your tongue and notice the colour there - food we digest influences the back of the tongue gut through the lymphatic system so it can affect things in the mouth even when in the colon 👍 Fasting for Weight Loss & More: Strategies to Protect Your Hormone Health | Dr. Patricia Mills MD ru-vid.comi5SukT2-wjU?feature=share

Hey doctor, this is very important information. This should be on heavy rotation on RU-vid. I'm a type 2 diabetic that was controlling my diabetes fairly well up until around 2018. Right around then I started drinking iced tea with stevia and splenda. I started having trouble losing weight and my A1C was slowly creeping up meaning it was increasing. I attributed it to aging and for some reason it just occurred to me last week about some of this research that I found when I was researching ketogenic diets. I am pretty good at understanding statistics and scholarly journal articles and your video fits my issues almost perfectly. I quit using artificial sweeteners 3 days ago. Obviously I will monitor, hopefully weight loss will be a lot easier, while I have probably reduced my carbohydrates back 80% starting in April of this year. I'm 55 years old now and I am glad that I saw this video because you put a lot of work into it as opposed to some of the other presenters who did not have degrees and only looked at a few variables that were confounding. Great job on this presentation.
Thank you very much! And I’m very proud of you - it’s one thing to know information and another to put it into action - you are embodying Wild wisdom! 🙌🏼👍❤️
Hi Dr. Patricia, I’m wondering if you have any idea when the best time would be for a newly diagnosed advanced endo patient to get a blood test for hormones, liver function, vitamins etc? Should I refrain from taking supplements for a day or so before it and at what time during my cycle should I take it?
Hi! There is no difference in when hormones should be tested if one has endometriosis vs not, it depends more on whether you are menstruating or in menopause, as with menstruation hormones fluctuating through the month means estrogen should be tested on a different day then progesterone. One way to know if your doctor is the right doctor to test your hormones is that they should know this. Hope this helps!
It depends on where you live, skin tone, how much dun exposure you get, time of year, genetics - so I like blood tests to confirm dosing needs for vitamin D3 👍
I've been wondering if I should take magnesium but worry that it could cause an obstruction due to stool finally starting to move. A CT scan showed "Negative for bowel obstruction. Large diffuse retained colonic fecal content. Normal appendix. Fecalized small bowel content. Negative for pneumatosis or free air." My insurance is between plans right now (none for next 2 weeks) and I've been worrying about this finding after looking at the results myself (went in for something else and it wasn't discussed). Trying to figure out what to do.
Thank you Dr Mills for your very informative videos. I have been taking an aromatase inhibitor for 11months to prevent an Er positive breast cancer recurrence after mastectomy. I had an 8cm fibroid for a few years prior to the cancer diagnosis. After 11 months on Letrozole two comparitive ultrasounds show that the the 8cm fibroid has grown to 11cm and another 4cm fibroid has appeared. I can only presume that my body is reacting to the disruption of the AI by making more oestrogen. It is a real conundrum. Should I stop the AI? I cannot risk surgery as I have type 1 diabetes (triggered by the trauma of a previous surgery 14 years ago). My Ferritin is high (444) indicating high inflammation.
Hi, sorry to hear this! Unfortunately I cannot give medical advice on this platform - that’s a great question for the doctor prescribing the medication ❤️ sending you hugs! 🤗
So I use a Zerowater filter, which takes out most things from the water. I "remineralize" it with trace minerals like Concentrace, is that okay? My mom uses it too and I told her this info and she said that everyone says something different, and that food should replace the minerals that the water lacks. Is this true - that food can substitute the minerals that the water lacks? I mean I highly doubt you would make a video on this concern if it wasn't a concern after all lol. But what do you say to people who believe this? Also - does putting half a teaspoon of brine into water apply even if the water you're putting it into is distilled? And how much of concentrate or other trace mineral brines that you buy at the health food store, should I put into my water - same as your homemade brine? Or should I just follow what it says on the label (it doesn't say explicitly how much, it just says in general a few drops like 6 drops per glass). Thanks! And thanks for the videos.
Glad you’re liking the videos! We need mineral in food and water - in water for the reasons stated in the video, because water needs a certain amount of minerals to be properly used by the body. Distilled water needs minerals the most as it has none. I can’t speak about the minerals in store bought products - each is different and needs to be used differently. Hope this helps!
Could the heightened levels of dioxins and phthalates in women with endo compared to women without endo, be due to decreased liver function because of being over-burdened with estrogen; and not only have to do with those toxins causing endo?
There's still so much misinformation out there but thank u for this video. Can we really cook with extra virgin olive oil? I use EVOO for salad dressings only at this point and the refined olive oil for stir frying, sauteing. I exist at a time where people told me EVOO is fragile, so if u use heat on it, all the goodness will be destroyed. So it should only be used as dressing.
@@dr.patriciamills it will be hard to just throw away deeply entrenched beliefs but i will try! thank u. So, stop using refined olive oil and just use EVOO for every stir fry and sauteing yes? But if EVOO is not fragile, why does it need to come in a dark bottle and be stored in a dark cool place to protect it from oxidation? If so, then won't it oxidise rapidly once it is heated up in the frying pan?
@@lebooshdiaries Hi! You might need to re-watch the video - I explain why it needs to come in a dark bottle and stored in a cool place. Every liquid oil needs this protection from oxidation and will eventually oxidize - just some faster than others and differences with cooking. Hope this helps!
@@dr.patriciamills thank u Dr, i watched it again and i think i get it. Just stick to Organic EVOO for cooking - stir fry, sauteing and even deep frying. But for deep frying, it's not possible because Organic EVOO is too expensive so no deep frying for me, it is a much better thing anyway, less fried foods, better health. Btw, you might find this helpful -Asians do not stir fry or saute with sesame seed oil. We will use toasted sesame seed oil (as opposed to non toasted) as flavoring only for certain dishes that calls for this oil like ginger chicken stew, soy sauce steam fish, chow mein, etc. Or we use it in sauces with soy sauce. So, when we cook, it will be an oil that is non sesame oil as base to fry the aromatics and sear the meat, then after everything's almost cooked, add in toasted sesame seed oil in for the flavor to finish off the cooking. So essentially, it is the 2nd oil we use, the 1st oil being the base, which at this current day, is either a seed oil or olive oil or lard. Unfortunately in Asia, 100% of the locally made toasted sesame seed oil is refined oil, Not cold pressed because u can't toast and then press it and say it's cold pressed as heat has been introduced prior to pressing it. Cold pressed oils can only be bought from a western brand. I bought a cold pressed sesame oil (from NZ) after watching one of your videos a month ago and tried sauteing with it. OMG, the moment it touched my preheated stainless steel pan, it smoked like crazy. I'll prob not be able to use it on stainless steel, just on a non stick or glass pan.

Doctor I am a women, I Took oral fenisteride for 3 years given by my dermatologist for hair growth, after this medication I started experiencing very painful periods! Is there any correlation or studies on this?
Sorry to hear! Unfortunately yes - here is a study on this: www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7007407/#:~:text=In%20conclusion%2C%20the%205%2Dα,bleeding%20and%20induced%20DNA%20damage.
Thank you for the information! I used to take 15,000 iu to 20,000iu of Vitamin D per week from January to March 2024 and ended up with heartburn / acid reflux since then. I didn't take K2, Magnesium or calcium with it. I react to medicines so cant take H2 blockers or any antacids. I never used to have heartburn / acid reflux before. Could it be that the Vitamin D is stored in the tissues still and causing this issue? or as you mentioned the muscles and tissues can get more calcium if vitamin D is not taken with K2. Could this have happened and causing acid reflux? How do I naturally get rid of what ever the Vitamin D caused to me and get back to being without the acid reflux? I am quite thin so maybe 20,000 iu was too much for my body to handle. I am 59 and have recently found out I have osteoporosis and am being pushed to take vitamin D supplements, but even with K2, magnesium and calcium it seems to be causing the acid reflux. I guess I need to fix this issues first in order for any remedies for osteoporosis to work! I would appreciate any guidance you can provide.

Thank you for this great information. I’m on medication for hair loss, which has helped a great deal. Is there a way to transition to a holistic way of healthy scalp and hair without hair loss returning?
Thank you for sharing this information! I'm wondering if you would recommend doing this while trying to conceive, or is it best to hold off on TTC until "x" number of months trying this supplement protocol?
Hi! Supplements during conception are tricky - if it were me I’d focus on the other root causes first, which you can find in this playlist: Fibroids ru-vid.com/group/PL-Jz-7U8Hy6qqMz0l-SAFZcwao6Oa1bTZ
Omg!! I have been on DIM and I've been experiencing a lot of bleeding, making me wonder if DIM was causing it. I've found a few reviews online that talk about DIM causing bleeding. Going to take a break from it to see how it goes
@@spillthetee it is just sucks because every one online says the opposite 😔 definitely not for everyone. Thank you for sharing this i thought i was the only one.
Wow! What a goldmine discovery of just the right info I need at this moment, synchronicity😊, 72 and have had osteoporosis for five years despite many years of not-quite-right supplementation and exercise. My lucky say! Thanks so much, Dr Mills❤
Wow that was very informative i will be changing my oil choices. I wanted to know what you suggest for a replacement of the spreads for toast or other breads, I currently use smart balance. Thankyou Carla Johnson
I don’t exactly have belly fat,but my gut flora is off after taking amoxicillin/clav for a month. My stomach is bloated and stays bloated so it looks big. I’m exercising which helps release some of the bloating and taking calc/mag and vit d3. I checked the fullscript listing those probiotics mention UTIs. What if I don’t get UTIs? Should I still be taking the probiotics?
Hi dr, thought I asked for this but I can’t see my last post, please kindly send me the link where you listed the supplements, I can’t see the notes you mentioned to look at, thank you very much.

Thank you, found it, I live in uk, so I guess I can’t buy it from that link? So hoping to get a good one local here. Just one question, are we to take all the supplements on that link to treat the root cause of fibroids and get rid ones already there? got one 2.5cm, and 2 smaller ones was told, I’m in peri menopause, I know I need to loose some weight too.
@@temmytemmy2005 In my experience, just supplements is not enough - need to address holistically with diet, exercise, stress reduction, toxins tolerance - see my Fibroids Playlist for all of the teachings ;)
I definitely need to rewatch this. I was watching another doctor months ago and she said if you eat fat, your body won't be able to burn fat. She goes on to say if you eat fat(meat) with carb (rice), the fat from the meat (saturated fat) will prevent your body from absorbing the sugar from the rice. Hence, all that sugar will be in your blood and hence high blood sugar. She advised if one wants to eat rice, to eat it with plant protein with soy (tofu) instead of animal protein which has fat. And eat the animal protein later without rice. She did not clarify when I asked. Interested to know your two cents on this. Thank you.
@@lebooshdiaries Oh, I completely disagree. Sorry I thought that was clear with the information I provide in my videos, but my video on 'How to Eat for Gut & Hormone Health' is how I recommend eating. There is no evidence to support those recommendations, specifically the statements: "if you eat fat(meat) with carb (rice), the fat from the meat (saturated fat) will prevent your body from absorbing the sugar from the rice. Hence, all that sugar will be in your blood and hence high blood sugar." is not true from a physiological perspective and "if one wants to eat rice, to eat it with plant protein with soy (tofu) instead of animal protein which has fat. And eat the animal protein later without rice." is not based on research as far as I am aware. Hope this helps!
@@dr.patriciamills It definitely helps! I will watch your video on how to eat for gut health. This video is quite clear in that u did say it is ok to eat carbs with protein but i wasn't sure if it was ok to eat animal protein. Your confirmation is appreciated.
Hello Dr.! Pls let me ask you something that I'm not clear about. I'm taking vit c intravrnously in order to avoid upset stomach and things like that (when it be taken by mouth). But I suspect that this interfear with my menstrual cycle (it become havier or comes earlier, or both). Is it possible? I'm affraid of the effect of this to my fibroids....
I don’t think caffeine is bad unless you have too much and each person has a different tolerance. Green tea has more health benefits that we know of so u like to use that more but will drink back tea occasionally too 👍
Thank you so much for all these informative videos. I am following your advices for about a month now, feeling better already though there is still a long way to go as the fibroid is really large and I also have hypothyroidism. Thank you dr Patricia😊🙏🙏🙏
