Hello, I my name is Matt, I am a private pilot based in the United Kindgom. On this channel I share short video clips from my flying adventures across the UK and overseas. I hope you are finding this channel interesting.
Thank you for visiting and I hope you are going to stay with me for a bit longer :) Stay safe out there!
@@MegatronRacing237 Hello there, Hero 7 Black and Insta 360 2. They are pretty good to be fair, no issues, just make sure you use good SD cards. GoPro can froze every now and then.
@@Heneling I am glad you have found this video helpful :) Have a nice time at Sleapkosh 24 and have a safe flight. You can have a look at this one too ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-eFF1nvZdYw0.htmlsi=PBsGX8SbW0Ga6stp
Carlisle Airport was a pleasure to visit - excellently maintained and very friendly staff. Would definitely visit again. Was a beautiful day for flying - ace video 😎👌
Delighted i found your videos. Im originally from N.I. but now live in Toronto...i fly out of CYTZ . but theres no place like home , i miss those green fields!! Great video! 👍
Fantastic views of Liverpool showing very iconic buildings from a completely different perspective. Great that ATC allowed transit through the restricted airspace, to allow for this superb flight and video! Talk about a smooth landing at Blackpool… very impressive 👌
Excellent flight with stunning weather. Ace views from the 360 camera during the takeoff at Coventry 👌 Coventry is an excellently maintained airfield too, a pleasure to visit.
What is your cruise speed? I'm hoping to be down at the airfield this next weekend, it would be good to get those shots of you in the air. In mine I'm limited to 100knts ish and tend to cruise at around 85, I take it thats minimums in the blue beasty
Simply superb! Great flight & love the 360 camera; especially the views on take off & landing - provides a completely different perspective. A pleasure to watch. I spy a new Flying Adventures branding logo too - very smart indeed 👌 Top notch as always 😃
Hiya! I've found myself with more time recently and am wanting to continue my RU-vid channel I started a year ago covering Cornish heritage and history. I moved out of Cornwall a few years back for uni hence having to trawl RU-vid for footage instead of getting it myself. I'm loving what you've captured here and find myself scarce of footage for Scilly for whenever I mention and cover it on the channel, so I was wondering if it'd be okay for me to use some of your footage? Obviously, I'll credit you properly in the description and credits! Absolutely no worries if not! I'd understand completely, but those who don't ask don't get, right? xD
Hi, I watched your video and thought you could help me. I am a pilot with a PPL license. In the month of July I will be in Perth for a few days. I live in Spain and I am Spanish. Could you tell me who I should contact at the Perth flying club or flight school to make a flight with a dual mode instructor. price per hour and plane model. I fly PA 28 181 Cherokee. thanks
Cool video. Good clear footage and a nice landing. I picked up my new sting S4 from Nottingham back in August. This brings back memories. Thanks for sharing.
Excellent as always 👌 So uplifting to see the beautiful scenery, along with blue skies and sunshine at this time of the year. Blackbushe was a superb airport to visit, loads of other planes to view of all varieties, excellent facilities and outstanding friendly staff and local pilots, who couldn’t do enough to make you feel welcome and supported. Blackbushe is a true favourite - see you again soon! 🤩
Another stunning video, which we have all come to love & enjoy 👌 The view of the clouds just before the first contact with London Information is superb! Kemble is a fantastic airfield to visit and getting to be up close with Negus 747 was spectacular! A must see 🤟
Thanks :) I cannot agree more, Kemble is a great place with a lot of history around it. During COVID the airport hosted number of planes (as storage) parked nearly everywhere around.
Another very nice video with some spectacular clouds and sunshine en route. Was your orbit north of Kemble for sightseeing, seemed a bit too cloudy to need to avoid gliders over the place next door to Kemble!
Great video editing and very cool views over the land we all really don't seem to appreciate enough, beautiful. I work at City of Derry Airport and given my job I cannot disclose what I do but thank you for using our airport. I hope you will visit again 👍
Hello Greg, thank you for your comment. The airport and the city are both worth visiting. There is a lot of history in the area what seems to be still 'alive' to some extend.
Thanks for your comment. Attitude above the water was 6500ft and then not above 2000ft following the ATC clearance. It all depends how far you would want to glide, the distance over the water to he IOM is too long to just glide to the airport from such attitude.
@@theflyingadventures Ye that's what I was thinking about. To far. I want to start my ppl next year or so. And I want to avoid places like that. Thanks man
Thanks, that was interesting and nice views of the scenery en route. As someone who has been out of the UK GA world for a while, just so I can understand the process what happens if the broken cloud at 1200' on the Hawarden ATIS had in fact been present? Presumably if the low cloud ceiling was actually there maintaining VFR whilst setting up for the ILS would not have been possible. Do you get cleared into the controlled airspace when approaching Hawarden for the ILS, even if not having filed an IFR flight plan (assuming you hadn't)? The controller remarks that below his MSA terrain clearance remains your responsibility, so would it be an option to declare IFR, climb into IMC above MSA and continue under radar vectoring? Thanks, keep up the good work.
Hello there, thank you for watching and commenting :) You can change the rule from VFR to IFR and vice versa at any point of the flight as desired. If you are flying on instruments then cloud base of 1200' would not make much difference since you could fly without any reference to the ground simply relaying on instruments. Hawarden doesn't have its own airspace but there is RMZ around there so Hawarden Radar has to be contacted before approaching the ATZ; they already knew I am going to do an ILS approach. As I was not flying to Hawarden from far away I did not see any point climbing too high to approach and intercept the ILS for this particular runway, it was just practice ILS approach for myself to keep 'current'. The MSA levels are published for safety reasons to allow appropiate clearance from the ground on the approach. And yes, if you need radar vectoring you can request it too, thay can still see you on the radar.
Thank you for all your videos, really enjoy the format, and the photography,Welshpool is the ideal touring airfield with so many places in easy reach, good luck for 2024 and keep them coming
What a fantastic video showcasing the wonderful places visited in 2023. This is what it’s all about - visiting new places, making unforgettable memories and sharing these stunning moments. Here’s to 2023 - can’t wait to see what 2024 has instore! Happy New Year! 🥳
Strange how variable the cloud cover was but it adds to the drama, even if it obscured some of the scenery. A nice smooth flight with a good cafe at either end 😊
Stunning scenery and those views above the clouds… heavenly! Great views as you decent through the clouds and then see the coastline near Caernarfon too. Lovely landing! Roll on summer! ☀️
The Dublin controller said "no further north", and you kept flying north. The correct procedure into weston from the VRP Pigeon house chimneys, is south of the liffey, not above 2k ft. At Palmerstown roundabout, you orbit till Weston clear you in, reamaning clear of the R15 (Don't pass the railway line). You seemed to fly North of the Liffey the whole way, but did well with Weston clearing you in. Generally, if traffic is leaving Weston, they fly north of the Liffey, and you should be south. Runway 7 in Weston is fun. I note you didn't record the departure part of this. Leaving Weston, you need to have a pen and paper, those controllers are out for blood, they deal with students all day and appriecate and respect a correct readback. I didn't hear yours, but have a pen ready for when they talk. You did very well, I hope my above comment doesn't come across as rude. I'm only giving you some tips. It is a hard place to fly into and you did it very well. Safe flying!!
Thank you very much for your comment. The flight was slightly to the north however, apart from that, I do not think it was out of order. Anyway, every day is a learning day ;) The landing was a fun, you are right. It is a bit tight there taking into consideration the military area nearby. The controller was a pain but that was more about attitude. Do you fly in that area?
@@theflyingadventures I did all my flight training there in 2019. I still often fly into it. The radio work can keep you on your toes. They deal with Students all day and get sick of any way wrong radio read back. Dublin are always lovely to deal with and I find them very helpful. Go do the Lambay transit the next time. Now that is an intresting flight. You fly under the flight path of Dublin, not above 500ft over the water. Your flight was great and I loved your video. Keep up the good work and we are all, always learning!
