Terrible way to detangle her hair. Please use a flexible brush to avoid breaking her hair off even more. The stiffness of the that comb is yanking the knots out of her hair, instead of detangling.. If you used a flexible brush ("wig brush") you'd have less damage in the end. And I'm sorry - your method contributed unnecessary damage to her hair. Try using a wig brush and I guarantee you'd see less hair on that comb.

I am stylist of 35 yrs and I’m just gonna say that u did an amazing job here. Can’t believe u did it on your own hair. Awesome job! May I ask why its called a silk press & how many days will it last before u will need to touch up or wash again?
Question… why do stylist trim this way? It seems lazy bc hairs at the top of the head aren’t being trimmed / cut. PS I’m not referring to how much was taken off. That’s understandable when the client isn’t keeping up w/ regular trims but I trim mine every 3 mos & my ex-styles does this same bob nonsense. This is cutting hair into a style when the client requested a trim for the health of the hair. I’m not a bob wearer. It also eventually made the back of my hair significantly shorter than the top bc her only skill was to make it “look” even all around from the bottom. Not cool but hoping you can help answer this question.
How about the revlon brush blow dryer (not the round brush)? It's so easy to use for non-professionals. Blow drying with a comb attachment is difficult for me.
As a straight natural what can I do to keep my 4B hair guarded against chlorine in the pool? (apart from wearing a swim cap that doesnt keep all the hair dry if I were to go under the water). I just recently cut my armpit length hair to shoulder length because I can see through my strands in the back and to rid of some split ends. I do not want to ruin my progress and the health its in now. Blessings~
I want to heat train but I exercise 3 to 4 times per week. I only get silk presses when it's time for a trim (every 2 months) and they only last for as long as i stay out the gym 😂 which is about one to days after. I wear half wigs with a headband as a protective style otherwise.
The silk press is Poppin and her "kitchen/patch" makes it even better😊❤ I love that color. I'm thinking about doing copper or silver once I grow my hair out❤
