I was in the pit of despair or whatever, I could do THINGS but I couldn’t build myself up from it so this video is nice to reevaluate my reasoning and use that as a way to figure out what I have to work on from now I’m at the stage where I’m following tutorials but when I try to do it myself I feel so inefficient
The PSX mogged the N64, yeah the Nintendo had a much better GPU but the reality is that their lack of storage/cost of manufacturing physical game copies (as well as other horrible business practices) is what killed the platform for serious game development studios and more or less started the trend of AAA studios migrating away to other platforms and Nintendo having to rely on it's first party exclusives. It's interesting to see we've gotten to the kinda corporate stagnation in the console/AAA space where it is likely we'll either see another video game crash or third party jump in and try to shake things up again...

You have been an inspiration to me to the point where I have started a RU-vid channel (not under this username - also given it is a bit niche I am very happy/amazed with my 100 subscribers in 2 years 🙂 ). I am very grateful to people like you and other RU-vid channels that put great content up. While Blender will never be anything more than a hobby for me personally it is very important for me as it allows me to unwind in a creative way in the evenings. It has been creating/editing my own tutorials that has made me realise just how much effort goes into each of these videos! So thanks again for all the hard work.

Any advice to someone with 0 animation experience that’s wanting to get into it? I have several years of video and video editing experience. I’ve been thinking about getting into blender.
Consider the word ACTUALLY that you use, ad nauseam out of context. If, as you do, I could say, "I am actually going to learn Blender." ACTUALLY is short for "I am going to perform all the necessary ACTS in order to learn Blender. Compare this with :"I am going to learn Blender. There is no other way than performing some acts; such as learning (a verb) study tutorials (study is a verb). All verbs are ACTS. One does not need to use the hackneyed word ACTUALLY because it is out of context and denotes illiteracy and very poor elocution. Ditto for the word LIKE. It is jarring for a polyglot to hear such English.
