AI was pretty hated as a player, but at the end of his career today he turned it around and is well respective. His story somewhat reminds me of what Ja Morant has gone through. We appreciated him, and then he has turned in to a headcase. We will see how it pans out for Ja.
Don’t get me wrong, KAT has #1 potential/Talent on court. But he isn’t a #1 mentally. He’s not a leader. He’s just a show up have fun and hoop guy. Nothing wrong with it, it’s just not for him. T Wolves have a #1 guy in ANT now. And Towns is the perfect co star. DLO I personally think had something in Brooklyn. But he wasn’t future of the franchise level. And he was shipped out. But he’s for the most part been inconsistent elsewhere. Okafor is a case of making the nba past his games era. If he was taken years sooner he would of had the skills to succeed as a big man. But this was the start of the stretch big era and his traditional game wasn’t a fit. And neither him or Noel was the priority over Joel. Porzingus has struggled with injuries and it slowed his game down from his NY days. Now he’s a Stretch 5 that’s not as athletic as he once was. Injuries probably ruined multiple all star stints for him. His Dallas stint didn’t work out. But he had a good year in Washington and is now a valuable piece for Boston.
Frank Mason 3rd was a fun Kansas Era. 2016 it’s crazy how Valentine looked to be headed to a star level nba career. But he just didn’t work out. And even Buddy didn’t achieve the star level career he looked on pace to achieve.
Just like Reed Shepherd and Rob Dillingham this year, Calipari didn't play Towns and Booker as much as he should have. Cal's favoritism towards certain players cost UK a lot of wins and wasted a lot talent.
Kanter was definitely blackballed for the way he spoke up on human rights and called out those like Lebron the NBAs favourite son for sitting on the fence and double standards
Man I hope Lonzo & Fultz add the title “NBA Champions” to their resume. They’re really good players and from the outside looking in, even better people. Wish nothing but success for them.
