Hi Mary Jane. Yes, there are neighborhoods on Long Island, particularly on the eastern end, such as the Hamptons, and on the North Shore, that are enclaves of the super rich. They are not representative of the country as a whole. The vast majority of Long Islanders--and there are two-and-a-half million of them (not counting the portions of Long Island that are part of New York City, the boroughs of Brooklyn and Queens) live in middle class neighborhoods, some of which represent the very first suburbs, established with generous government assistance, on what had been farm land. They were built mostly for American troops returning from World War II and who were starting their families.There are also pockets of poverty throughout much of Long Island. As for public beaches, please visit some of the spectacular public oceanfront beaches on the island, such as Jones Beach and Robert Moses State Park, They are beautiful and they are clean. They are also free and accessible by public transit from Manhattan. The only costs will be for some highway tolls and for parking if you arrive by car, or the bus or train fares for mass transit. New York City itself has a miles-long oceanfront beach on the Rockaway peninsula of Queens. It is reachable by subway or by ferries from Manhattan which are subsidized by the city and cost four dollars.

I have over 20 years experience as a cyclist, plus I am a motorcyclist also. The minute you said you dont wear a helmet I quit watching you. That is the worse example for people to hear. I have a friend who was permanently injured because of a helmet situation. So I have no desire to be a part of this video.

US is built on freedom, which fuels individualism. But that doesn't mean US does not have unity. Unity is based on common values. Collectivism on the other hand is forced by gov coercion mostly built by fantasy ideologies like communism or fascism. When people have no values in common they will not build strong communities.
I am a CS host in San Miguel El Salvador. I love being able to host travelers for free so that travelers can spend their money on cooler things. I like that the foreign travelers can support the local economy of my little area and get to know my beautiful local area and economy.
Women are more of a sceptic, and caution of when it comes to both men or women, and for different reasons, I think. They are more likely to observe and try to understand at first. While men may come across different women, as they more have an inborn desire to protect and care for women, and may find it easier to get along women than men at first as well. The whole nudity thing is ridiculous. If you seen one you seen them all as far as I'm concerned. My country is so uptight about nudity and sex. Most likely do to the centuries of indoctrination from religion and christianity. Two very archaic beliefs to begin with.

Thank you Mary Jane for your "sermon" on Individualism. I have learned something about individualism and being individualist. I was just pretty sad that you concluded by being more anti individualism rather than pro individualism. I have to agree with you though. As not everyone is a natural individualist.

Those are nationalities, not races. If youre born in America, your nationality is American. That is why the majority of the people in that video only spoke English. The only thing Italian about them are their ancestors. But not them.
