I was expecting the deep booming rumble of the one My late Grandma had. Yours is a high pitch cackle? Fascinating! 🤔 My Grandma's laffin head cowboy has battery corrosion but I resently watched a video which shows how to clean battery corrosion and I tried it out on some other fun items (collectable toy drummers) which my Grandma collected. I got those items working again! It's like getting a hug from Grandma and they sure bring back memories. 🥰 I will try to clean the corrosion off 1st but if that doesn't work I will come back to this video. Thank you for sparking hope again! ♥️
Only had two of the six as a kid, never found the other 4 that I needed. I think he was very underrated. One of the best things the GoBot line produced, IMO.
I’m 49 and can’t remember I game I used to have. It had small shapes and you had to put in the flat plastic board before it popped and threw all your pieces everywhere. Anybody remember that one?
An early episode of The Simpsons when Bart ordered a spy camera having to wait six months for the package. It actually works and ends up taking a photo of Homer dancing with a belly dancer.
I notice you have all 7 Trobbits pictured. I heard Burble (the one with both mustache and beard) was never released but that an individual fan was making them and selling them. Do you know if that rumor is true?
I had this as well. Very high tech for the time period. Not the best on carpet, but fortunately my parents hallway was wood. Spent hours programming and playing with it. The trailer attachment was pretty awesome as well and I wood always load it with stuff. (LOL)
Good video. I just purchased this same cassette player on eBay. Very clean and works great. I'm stepping back in time as I'm now in my 60's and this was my 1st Cassette player (that I can remember). Also started buying some actual cassettes that I enjoyed back then as well. I have everything on Vinyl and CD, but there is a nice feeling about holding a cassette (again) and listening to it on a cassette player that I owned in the mid 70's.
This is ridiculous they reawaken just to find out this time there inside a video game ? And I'm in the opposite camp. I thought the movie followed the book storyline rather well, but I wanted the classic vampire as portrayed by King, European, cultured and urbane. Not this Nosferatu lookalike.
@@stingshadow12 in this 1977 collection, there's only 4. I think they did another series of plates in the late 80's or 90's, but for back then, the 70's, it was only these 4.
Oh man! This toy has been in an out of my memories. I knew I had one. Been trying to look for this thing for years. Just didnt know what it was called. So glad this was posted. I used to love playing with this. But one day it disappeared. I hope I can find one just like this again. Used to put my GI Joes in this.
@@attentiondeficitsquirrel7660 Yes, with a yellow draw bridge. The trap door fell to as dungeon area with a lift up cage located on the front of the castle right by th he moat.
Never seen one in person before. My friends parents were also poor. So that's the first time I've seen one apart from the commercial for it. Thanks and you've got a new subscriber. 😊
@@theoldestkidintheworld7365 Yup November of 1977 stuffed my winter coat with my Panasonic and recorded Star Wars. Also had all the Star Trek episodes on cassette.
I had thought for years that I had shot mine up with the b.b. gun. Two days ago in the basement corner under heaps of stuff in a dirty plastic bag was all the parts for my beloved HORNETROID. Missing a couple of parts but mostly there. I felt 9 years old again. Hate to be materialistic but I felt a little more whole. Best toy ever.
Had both the tank and transporter in 1980 as a young kid. Wow. What memories. Yes it was expensive at the time and I think my grandfather helped my mom buy it for me for X-Mas.
I have a Mitsubishi HS-U65 S-VHS AS soon as you turn it on it turns it self off within 30 seconds. How can I fix this. What do you think is wrong with it? How much do you think it would cost?
It sounds like a bad power supply. I have no idea how much it would cost to repair it. I would keep my eye out for another one that is being sold "as is" and swap power supplies.
Dude. You must be my long-lost brother cause I had all the novelty mags and I LOVED to read them. Watching this brought back so many memories. I can't believe how much I remember ordering as a kid after watching this video. These are some of the items I ordered, Garlic gum, x-ray spex, joy buzzer, air car, coffin bank, monster ghost, mystic smoke, imitation vomit, money maker, snapping gum, fake dog mess, bar bug ice.........And a lot more. I tell my 14-year-old son about these items I ordered and he gets a kick outta them. Thx again for the video. You made my day!!!!
I ordered The Revolutionary War set thinking something along the lines of the CW Giant Play=set by Marx. I got small pressed out two-dimensional pressed plastic figures and cannon. Should have known when the mailer showed up about the size of 3 bars of soap.
I remember the Johnson Smith catalog very well. I also remember ordering my share of stuff from the catalog and being a bit disappointed. I was just sitting here thinking, reminiscing, and listening to the music. I think what Johnson Smith sold to every red-blooded, american boy during that era was imagination. I would set literally for hours at a time. Looking through their catalog, just imagining how these things worked (especially the X-ray glasses) Show a kid a picture and just let their imagination take over, and there you go. So in my opinion, Johnson Smith catalog sold a young man, dreams and imagination.
Love my Roboclean, bought it new in 2011, still running strong, only had to replace a water separator and now I'm replacing a hose that had a fitting break. In my opinion it's equivalent to a Rainbow, my family has owned those since I was a child and the cleaning ability is about the same. Far superior to any bag or canister vacuum I've ever used. I've never used the floor cleaner portion, but I have it brand new in the box in my shop.
