UK field metal detecting 2023 - Minelab Equinox 800 - part 1
A compilation of my metal detecting, treasure finds in the UK with the Weekend Wanderers metal detecting club. Lots of finds but with the best being several roman coins. Amazing that these coins are from early years after the birth of Christ. 2-300 A.D. All found using my Minelab Equinnox 800 metal detector, with the standard 11 inch or 15 inch coil and my Root slayer spade.

Hi Rich, well done mate, finding roman coins is always good, that big green coin could be a dupondius, shame about the 15 inch coils lugs, you need the coil stiffener that has the cable ties going through it for that beast, anyway new sub my friend. ATB Bill and Julie X 👍😊

Hello Bill and Julie. Thanks so much for watching and offering brilliant advice. I'll check out the dupondius coin, with a bit of research, now you've given me a pointer. Minelab were really good. Even though the coil was over 2 years old, apparently comes with a 3 year warranty. 1 email and they replaced it, free of charge. Now I've invested in some history finder coil stiffeners. Most expensive, but I hear they're the best. All good so far.

Thanks so much for subbing. Hopefully some good new videos coming up, as some fantastic news today. For the 1st time, I did some proper research to find a list of farms. Visited 2 this afternoon and both said 'yes' to giving me permission. 2 out of 2, result!! At least 12 fields, all very close to a very famous castle. I'm buzzing! Might go tomorrow, as so excited. @RG500_detectorist good news indeed, I've just got my hands on a Manticore, so I'll be putting out more videos using the new machine, as soon as the rain stops, most of our permissions are under water or just a muddy mess 😂

@somersetsearchers look forward to seeing how you get on. Tempted to get one. Are they hands down the best or does the Deus still win on land? I don't mind the rain or swamp. Do a bit on the Thames foreshore, so invested in these boots. Brilliant.
