Love this video! I definitely want a picotin but have no intention to ever get more or play the game ! It really isn’t that serious and your video is so refreshing in the sea of people crying about not getting a quota bag
This was a really useful video, and I hope you continue this ‘Perspective from a Former Reseller Series.’ Your insights certainly cement my position to exclusively buy 2nd-hand from bigger storefronts/platforms and to avoid peer-to-peer altogether. …I’m telling you, I am tired, confused, and dismayed by all of the Poshmark listings for ‘brand new, nEvEr WoRn’ designer bag at 99.999% of original retail 😅😅😅
I own 3 Hermes bags but they are the old style bags called the Fourre tout. I own the PM. MM and GM. I love them. 2 were practically brand new and the GM had some signs of wear but you had to really look for it. All cost me less than £800. Their leather bags are so expensive and I get the quality issue and that some are made by one person but the price tag is a deposit on a house . Quality is great but the style of bag is equally important. None of their bags so far have caught my eye. All maybe garden party buy in canvas and the constance but I hate that H buckle. Also Hermes has never officially said you must spend a certain amount before you get offered a bag , that is something RU-vidRS started spreading all over RU-vid.
This may not be from your perspective, but as a 40+ woman I have nostalgia for 90s to y2k through Cheugy. The temptation is difficult to overcome when I see a bag in new/excellent condition at a cheap price. 3 decades of releases, yet I work at home and don’t need any of it. I usually have 10-15 Chanel, LV, Fendi, Hermes
Great Advice.... I find that once I add a couple of handbags to my wishlist and go back to look in a couple of weeks time, I end up asking myself what I was thinking in the first place
I like the brands woven chain detail, i love the edginess of the boy bag style and loveeeee tweed but styled right , i love ballet flats and they are amazingly flattering on me and i love the style becuase my style is classic with a mix of trends the classicness and history of the brand is a pro but i do prefer the vintage styles of the bags rather than the new ones because of the issues with quality or longevity but the style suits me a lot
I love the quality of H bags, love the styles, but cant stand the horrible way the boutiques treat new customers generally (I had a great experience like only twice and fear going back bc I want to remember it as a good time, I don't want to be let down again) and the mysterious allocation of bags and dishonesty. also the fans of hermes... they seem to like how non-luxurious the experience is these days, as long as they get the bags that other people aren't able to buy. to me that's not luxurious. it just shows me that people like to feel like they're better than others, and that Hermes has trouble selling their other items and so they only appreciate people who are willing to go buck wild buying hard to move merchandise, and THEN they reward them with the opportunity to buy a 12K bag. I don't have time for it. If it happens it happens, if I try a bigger store that doesn't judge you off the bat as "unimportant" if they are unfamiliar with you (I hear Vegas might be a good one, and if I ever win a jackpot, I'll test my luck in all of the Hermes stores there, heh), but I refuse to do the "relationship building" through one and only one SA in one store, when I know damn well certain people are not making friendships at the store and get "offers without pre-spend" at a random whim of the SAs and Store Managers. Also, I wonder if I should just stop supporting Hermes by buying from brands that have fair and helpful customer service that makes you feel at ease in their stores and WANT me to buy their bags.
Yes their strategy is completely backwards to me. I don’t like the bags enough to want to play that game but I don’t like ANYTHING enough to go through that hassle.
I wouldn't use it affirm at all the reason I say that they deleted my account for no reason at all made all of my payments on time and he still deleted my account
I think it’s possible! If you use this method it should work perfectly ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ROlLYAgs6nQ.htmlsi=IYJYauuVv2Eq4JuN
Not many new bags get my attention, but it is indeed cute. Definitely a popular silhouette (Admittedly, I do see the Constance and Celine Triomphe reflected ). Given the hardware, cor me, it maybe worth buying secondhand a few years into the future 🤔
The cringe from not knowing something you’re proud of is fake, is painful and such a silly feeling in the grand scheme. I bet the lady that pointed it out doesn’t remember, (or does… that pink!) yet the shame persists
Wow a 27” drop length! Tall girl approved. I have the London rectangular bag but had to create an extra hole. Still sits a little too high but manageable.
I love DeMellier! I have the Montreal bag in regular / medium and mini sizes and a Genova in raffia with a black braided handle! I don’t own the Vancouver because I’m good on crossbody bags, but really think it’s lovely! Fantastic brand! ❤
Love this video, and thank you for including prices I find a lot of videos like this don’t include the prices which is annoying when you’re trying to plan a trip. Can’t wait to go back to there, so many great places in this video *gtdupe*
Hey my love! GREAT video! One of my close friends and I have been looking at these bags. The MINUTE I saw that you dropped this video I sent it to her lol! I love the color that you chose as well as its classic look.
I agree with this. I purchase what I love and I keep it forever. Status be damned. I also do not entertain the quiet luxury conversation. It’s ignorant. People are screaming quiet luxury because someone on tt posted a brand they never heard of. I can tell by the seam of your cuffed jeans if they’re expensive or not. I think the convo is anti-black woman. There was a time when black women were posting their luxury apartments, then suddenly it was terrible for black women to have nice things. Either way I’ll be in my loft wearing Prada as I always do, minding my business. Sorry for the rant! 😂
Omg, I haven't touched on the particular subject as related to black women specifically. But I can't help but notice, that whenever *we* finally get included, then all of a sudden stuff is tacky. It happens every time and it exhausts me. I expel ZERO energy on perception of status, class or wealth. Those are NOT things that can be accurately represented in physical forms...and like I said in the video - I have NO WISH to convey that to passersby on the street! Like for what purpose? WHat do I get out of someone a few tables down from me at a restaurant thinking I "have money"? Not only will I never see them again, I may not have ever noticed them in the first place!!! Ugh - that prior commenter set me off ! Your rant is welcome and well-received! ps. Billionaires can wear Zara too.
traditional or otherwise, it's not for me! One of the factors is that the texture is too similar to my hair, my hair is already a lot. Wearing a matching jacket with sequins would feel ridiculous
In ecomomics it's called Conspicuous Consumption. You absolutely purchase a bag for the perceived 'status'. Why else would you purchase a bag with a logo vs w/out? Does anyone want a Birkin w/out the logo stamp (minus Grizzly or Barenia). It's what the bag/message conveys at that moment in time. Not saying it's right but that's marketing.
Sorry but I reject all of that. I purchase certain bags bc I like them aesthetically. Sometimes that means fore-going a logo entirely other times the logo is center stage. But I'm secure enough to admit that it's completely vapid - I like it, I buy it. That's good enough for me I have no desire to for anyone to count my money or status in any scenario, much less what I'm wearing on my arm on a given day...and I wish people would stop doing that. I find it inelegant and childish. Can't we just like things, bc they look good?
Trends now days are tacky. They aren’t practical for real life and designed so you have to continue shopping more. Like imagine going throughout your day wearing a micro mini skirt. Nah.
The trends that make me gag the most are in shoes (major ick) but yes the trends are not only derivative, but moving at dizzying speed. I think this is how I finally realized I'm getting older...they're not resonating and/or I've done them already. ....PS I am fully not ready for late aughts to come back. (Ed Hardy, Trucker Hats, Multiple layers of lace camisoles.....)
