I bought one last December. Took it to a gunsmith and got a 3.7 pound trigger job. Shoots very well. Sold my SA Ronin to buy this so i can have a railed 1911 to mount a weapon light. Springfield seems to have invested in new CNC machines as the production pistols in the last 10 years have been much better, tighter, and smoother than the 1911s they produced 20-25 years ago. I changed out the G10 grips for a Pachmayr Diamond Pro rubber grips and installed Talon grip tape on the naked front strap. Now the grip feels good and solid. If you want more weight, install a weapon mounted light. It will add several more ounces for you.
I don't think of adjustable sights as "duty grade" but i agree for the price we should be getting a slightly better rear sight option. Also wish the front sight wasn't white but those are easy fixes
I Bought Mines Brand New In November. It Was In The Shop In December. Needed New Grip Safety Spring And Firing Pin Needed To Be Cleaned. I Put Trijicon HD Night Sights On It. Orange Front Sight. Hopefully It Works. If Not It'll Be A Expensive Paper Weight😂😂😂😂
