I have a 2012 with the exact same interior layout and I need to remove ignition switch assembly. Do you have any suggestions or recommendations for removing that?
This video was absolutely pointless, you showed nothing on how to do anything all you did was talk lol! Nobody wants to hear you talk common sense things, if you're going to make a mechanical video, then you have to show actual instructional work
Old video..... but I didn't have an issue. If you disconnect battery it won't go off. I never disconnect batteries and unplug airbags all the time. Never seen any go off ever.
I just replaced mine and still the thermostat gauge is not moving, no a/c, and fans still stay on. My second guess might be the camshaft but idk. What are your experiences guys?
@@ykmalachiactually kept running the truck since I had to get home about 40 mi and I guess the system recognized it, so it works now. Also, I saw you can get the error codes taken off and it should work if the thermostat housing was messed up
I just ran into this issue with my 2009 jeep commander 3.7 used a shopvac and reduced it down to a bending straw double checked with a scope got all the big pieces was not that hard at all took a little bit patients and all the big pieces are out thanks for the video man
Hey, I'm late to this party, but thanks for sharing this video. I changed the crossover gaskets that were leaking and while there, also the water pump and the thermostat. I have the same car and you are right, according to some sources, GM only made a little over 800 between 2006 and 2007. They are rare. Have a good one.
i appreciate the video, Malachi. You got to consider your language. Every idle word men shall speak they shall give an account thereof on the day of judgement. Get right with God.I want you to be my neighbor in heaven.
Thanks for the helpful video, about to try and tackle this on my 2011 Acadia. So I can do it all from underneath, no need to pop off that interior panel in the back?
@ykmalachi Yeah I just plan on changing that, I was just a lil confused because you mentioned having to clean up the mess made inside with brake cleaner. Anyways thank you for the reply
FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS EXACTLY!!! This was a great video. I did exactly what you showed and it dropped out in an hour to an hour and a half. Everything he mentions is necessary and is worth doing. The stubby 18mm wrench for the power steering line is a must. Thank you for spending the time to make this video.
did you have to drain the radiator first or did you just pop the hose off and top it back up with coolant after getting everything hooked back up together?
I found the perfect fix for all colbalt issues...first go out and purchase a 55 gallon drum of an extremely flammable fluid then what a do is purchase a lighter a cheap one will do the trick trust me on this then....use your imagination..problem solved ..ps try to remember to pull all the vin numbers off the car as the police fire dept and ins companies tend to frown on this hack
I have a 97 5.7 in my s 10 did the same thing you did started with a cheap extension and than went the way you did I actually just ran across this video
Dude you know it there ain't another of guys out there that think like that well I'm here to say I totally understand what you did been there done that great video stay safe later
