Thanks a LOT! Problem solved. "variable frame rate detected" was it. I had the issue that for a 1,5min long video it took AGES to render and then suddenly the video was half green screen, half black 99,99% of the time with just 2-3 frames that actually rendered inbetween. And while I was rendering, I got these red errors in the bottom right corner constantly and during the exporting, suddenly the PREVIEW which worked fine till then suddenly also showed this half green half black video instead of the normal video which was shown normally during editing. Basically, my file was a ".mov" video file type. And when I clicked on properties, it showed the "variable framerate detected". BEFORE doing ANY of what you said, i tried to edit and render a .mp4 file and it worked. Suggesting strongly, that it was due to the .mov file. I restarted my pc, cleared the cache, did updates (which actually were available again) for both premiere pro and media encoder. Nothing worked. Also, I already did not have the GPU rendering activated. After using the software you mentioned to get rid of the "variable frame rate detected", I noticed that it was now a ".m4a" file instead of the ".mov" file type. So basically, I just needed to convert the initial file if I see that correctly. Longterm it will probably be better to use something else to convert all the .mov files that I will get and i'll see then if its just a casual file convert or if its truly the handbrake software that is needed to solve this. Anyways, the handbrake solution worked flawlessly. Its just that over time because of the amount of .mov files I will get, I will try to find a solution to convert them all in bulk if that will be also solving it. Thanks a LOT! PS: Update: It actually works within the handbrake software to do this on bulk, semi automated! So you basically have to create a folder on your desktop or wherever. Dont have anything else in that folder, only the files you want to convert. Then click on "Folder (batch scan)" after opening the handbrake software (see 2:27 before he drags the files into the handbrake software, you can see "Folder (batch scan)" on the left sidebar within handbrake. Click on that button and then click on your folder. It will show an empty folder but doesnt matter, just click enter. Now it pulls multiple files into handbrake. You just do the settings as explained in the video and then "start encode" as shown in 2:50. Now only ONE file is actually loading/converting! It is loading as you can see in the bottom left corner now in handbrake. However, you can now select the second file, then click on "add to queue" which is exactly left from "start encode" right next to it. How you can select the second file: Look at 2:44 if you look at the top left corner where it says "handbrake" (the logo basically), now slowly look down from there you will see "file", then "open source", then look further down you see "Source" and under that is "Title" right above "presets". You want to click on that "title" and there you can now select the next video. All the seconds are already set right, you only select that video there and then click "add to queue" which is left from the green "start encode" button. While the converting takes place, you now select one video after the other from "title" and then add to queue. Once you are done, you can click on "queue" which is exactly on the right from the green "start encode" button. Now you can see the entire queue and see which videos did already finish converting and which still are converting. Basically you know that its loading now and can see where the loading process is at currently. Hope that helps. Bye PSS: Actually, there is one thing that isnt true here which is that after selecting the destination where the files shall be saved, it switches back to the default folder after the first clip finished. You can however click on the top nav-bar on "extra" and then on "settings", then on "output files" which is two above "video" on the sidebar. Maybe its called differently in english. My computer is in german so I just translated that myself here, maybe the button is called differently. Anyways, its two above "video". Then you can select the destination there. Also, you can let the computer set a notification for when the converting is done. Also, you can actually click on the small arrow on the button that says "add to queue" and then a dropdown appears on which you can click "add all" or "select all" something along those lines. With that you basically add all videos at once to the queue instead of having to do that manually. Sorry for the long text. Hope that helps nonetheless.

Okay, but what if the PROXIES that Media Encoder created is the footage that contains the dropped frames? This is the problem I'm running into. The dropped frames aren't in the high-quality source footage, only in the proxies. And the rendering of the full project in Media Encoder, once proxies are replaced with the high-quality footge, is creating dropped frames as well. Is there a specific method I should be using?

I go into edit and there is no preferences option?

Just in case anyone else has this problem, I just found out by Wright clicking on the selected video footage and just a nest in it, seems to remove it lol Thank you for this video anyways
