What's with the muscle shirt and "look at me" posing all the time... The focus is meant to be on the truck not your biceps... lol, and not to mention the abuse you are dishing out to that poor truck...
lol 😂. Thanks for the compliment, I think ? Keep in mind, this is RU-vid, not Tender; not looking for a hook up; just sharing my experiences. Thanks for watching and your comments. Cheers.
Great question. It did have the original transmission and suspension. Thanks for your question and your comment. Please be sure to subscribe for the latest content. Cheers.
My 01 sport trac still stock original motor and tran got all most 300000 miles I never been strand. Last winter in Montana, it went negative 50, and it still started up no problem.
Overall, it’s a great truck. Nice to see them when they hit 300,000 miles. Thanks for watching and your comments. Please be sure to subscribe for the latest content. Cheers.
Best car you can buy for your son as that Toyota Corolla. Thanks for washing in your comments. Please be sure to subscribe for the latest content. Cheers
i have a 2007 dodge Dakota slt quad cab an i love it even at 215k but the problems your having are the problems im not having an its a Oklahoma pick up an i live in the state but i did replace the door actuator an it calls for having the dash removed just to get to the last bolt but i love its got the 4.7 v8 an its 4x4 but one thing i hate about the 4.7 v8 is that 90° elbow behind the intake manifold for the driver side pcv vent tube just to buy the updated one from dodge is 700$ so i bypassed it an ran a heater hose from the driver side pcv an plumbed it to the passenger side pcv
Thank you so much for your comments. I agree with you that everyone’s experience will be different, the issues you had with yours are different than the issues I had with the one that I reviewed. Overall, we can both agree that the engine and transmission are built well and not given, either one of us any issues or most owners out there any issues. The issues I had was with the finish and certain areas of the truck. Again, thank you for watching and your comments. Please be sure to subscribe for the content. 🙏🏼😎👍🏼
This Corolla has definitely been repainted. The headlights don’t even look cloudy. Mine does not have the mileage this one has, and doesn’t look half as good, and I take care of mine.
Yes, you are 100% correct, we had the whole car repainted because as you may know Corollas of this generation, the rooftop typically gets surface rust. We did buff the headlights and did a deep clean detail on the vehicle. Thanks for watching in your comments. Please be sure to subscribe for the latest content.
This was my VERY first car. Obviously as a first car it wasnt treated very nicely 😅. I went into a ditch at decent speeds, I went over curbs a handful of times, I dinged and scratched it a few times and maintance as a broke Highschool and College Student was often done a little late or went unnoticed. I had a timing belt snap on the highway, I waited SO LONG to do a Spark Plug replacement, Coolant was flushed once at 100,000 miles. I put my 05 Corolla through hell and it took all of it like a champ! I can't necessarily say I loved my car, but I sure can say I appreciated how strong and good it was. Now Im older, I finally understajd maintence better and I've moved on to better/bigger cars but my Corolla will always hold lots of memoires!
No problem about buying a high kilometre Toyota well 4 years ago l bought a 1997 Toyota Hilux and still have it has done 435000 kilometres and runs great have had a couple small issues with it and only paid aud $1500 for it but when l retired l researched the Hilux through you tube and Google what an indestructible unbreakable and reliable vehicle it is its the best aud$1500 l have ever spent in y 50 years of driving and l have owned quite a few vehicles in that time it the best 4 cylinder caburated vehicle l have ever owned and in Australia they sell for aud $5000 to $6000 and another thing it has the famous 22R motor
My favorite truck is the Hilux! Unfortunately, living here in the United States, our import laws do not allow that truck. It is an awesome indestructible truck. Thanks for watching in your comments. Please be sure to subscribe for the latest content. here’s to 1,000,000 km on your truck, cheers! 😎
@@realcarreviews6021 l will never live long enough to do that infact my Hilux will put live me l have two adult children so they can fight over it this Hilux will become a family heir loom
I currently drive a 92 civic eg. I got a job a few months ago and realized that I needa bigger vehicle. I’m 16 years old 6’0 and 180lbs I’m not a little guy and the civic is a little car. The Dakota seems perfect for me
Good starter truck for you! As long as some basic maintenance was done, it should serve you well! Thanks for watching and your comments, please be sure to like and subscribe. Cheers !
That’s a Great buy! Can’t go wrong with your Corolla, especially if you got a great deal on it ! Thanks for watching and your comments. Please be sure to subscribe for the latest content. Here’s to a million miles on your Corolla! Cheers !
That's just broke in good dude!!:) Seriously - they can run forever if taken care of right.. and the older ones are FAR better than the new-- They don't have all the tech B...sh..t to tear up..
Absolutely 100% agreed. Yes 4Runner is just getting broken in and I agree that the older 4RUNNERS don’t have all of your lane assist anti-collision systems running. They are more simple and straightforward. Thanks for watching and your comments. Please be sure to subscribe for the latest content. Cheers.
The door shouldn’t have to be rehung if it was built properly in the first place. I was a used car appraiser for 18 years and what I learned from many years seeing vehicles that were over 110K miles is that the F150 was built much better than the Explorer Sport Track. Agreed. But, I teach people how to negotiate down the price of a vehicle based upon reconditioning and market sentiment. Thanks for watching and your comments. Please be sure to subscribe for the latest content. Cheers 😎!
Just got an 05 Corolla LE as an extra vehicle. 160k miles in perfect condition for $1,500 cash. I was an automotive technician for 12 years so know my way around almost any vehicle. Even the paint is immaculate!
Great Find with your Corolla! That Corolla will go forever! As a former mechanic, you know you struck gold ! Thanks for watching and your comments. Please like and subscribe, thank you 🙏🏼
That’s very common with this generation Corollas with the odometer getting stuck at 299K. I’m confident it will go well beyond the 500K. Thanks for watching and your comments, please be sure to subscribe for the latest content. Here’s to a Million miles on your Corolla, cheers !
143,000 miles is low miles for that 2007. Sounds like basically still a new Corolla. Thanks for watching in your comments. Please be sure to like and subscribe to the latest content. Here’s to 1,000,000 miles on your Corolla, Cheers! 🎉
Fingers crossed. I tried to be as polite as possible when trying to get a MAJOR repair on a car I just purchased. The head unit went bad and they quoted me 7k for a new replacement. The warranty expired 2 months ago for this VIN on my car, and I asked for a good will repair. I should get an answer in the next few days, and I am feeling sick to my stomach thinking they will say NO.... LOL!!!!
I have my fingers crossed 🤞🏼 too. There are a few variables that will play into each situation, the manufacture, the dealer, and the Service Manager. Some dealerships have very good relations with the manufacturer and can ask their district manager for favors and bend some rules. That’s why those guys have jobs. Overseeing the dealers service practices. Hope all goes well. Please keep me posted. Thank you for watching and your comments. Please be sure to subscribe for the latest content.
After spending 20 years in the car business, appraising over 75,000 vehicles, and operating a dealership, I may have picked up a few nuggets of knowledge. I have noticed over the years is there is a quality difference of fit and finish between Ford product and Toyota product. each product has its pros and cons, I have just found more faults with Fords. Thanks for watching and your comments. Cheers.
Great cars! I have a corolla Tsport vvtli 2zzge with 192hp (europe) I love so much that engine! Maybe can go over 200k miles like other toyota engines.
Very nice! It’s hard to kill a Corolla engine, I’m confident that yours keep going for several hundreds of thousands of miles. Thanks for watching and your comments. Please be sure to subscribe to the latest content. Here’s to 1,000,000 miles on your Corolla, cheers!
On this generation Corolla the shift cable bushing (automatic trans) is subject to failure after a few hundred k miles. Pick one up at the dealer for about 7 bucks and keep it in the glove box. When the time comes fix is easy and quick with a few basic tools. Thank me later. Cheers
That exact thing happened to this one. The previous owner thought the transmission had failed because it wouldn’t go into gear because of the shift lock mechanism that you’re referring to. Did pick one up like you said for about $7. Thanks for watching in your comments. Please be sure to subscribe for the latest content. Cheers 😎
Got a 06'corolla with 241k miles rn too! Family keeps telling me to get new car but i love my rolla too much! Every mile it goes up i kinda take pride in seeing odomoter go up lol. Drain and fill tran fluid and oil changes every 3k. Lets see how long it lasts! :)
look up the KBB before you buy anything. you’ll know the value of it and factor any potential problems you notice about it with the cost to buy the part and the labor.
Great Corolla ; Very low miles for a 2008! Thanks for watching and your comments. Please subscribe for the latest content. Here to a million miles, cheers! 😎
Cars arent for flipping they are depreciating assets, your not providing a service, your just skimming money for yourself at the expense of whoever buys it
Agreed, but you can buy a depreciation asset for less than market price and sell it for market price in another market is arbitrage. Thanks for watching in your comments.
@@realcarreviews6021 but don't you see that as scummy? Someone sold it for cheaper giving a good price for an asset. Instead of using that asset, you instead make money off of the good will of the one who sold it and then have the next purchaser acquire it for more than you did. So you only make money off of others good wills and perhaps mistakes, rather than providing goods or services for a product.
@@JorgeCampos-xy6kt - if the truck can’t take a few bumps from me, the how will it hold up on the road ? Thanks for watching and your comments. Cheers !!
