just some notes from my experience using Velcro and zip ties on AR15. These can be used to hold down or control optics, push panels, and slings.

I am generally not a fan of wires on Guns. We do a lot of Night Hog Hunting. Using Night Vision and Thermal. That stuff usually gets snagged and ripped out over time. So like you say if you are gonna have remote switches and stuff. You best get it tied and tucked so, it don't get snagged on door handles and brush.

Do you ever use Velcro or sleeves in your configuration?

@PracticalWeapons Yes, I have used some little elastic strips with velcro and I have used Ranger Bands. I use lots of Ponytail holders. Basically they are little mini bungee. That being said currently I can't think of a single gun that has any cable management on it. I have just went away from it. I am right handed. So, I mount my light where my left thumb can push on the tail cap. On my night vision guns the IR laser/illuminators mount on top and are easy to use without pressure pads.
