@davinagarrido245 Well, I still live in England at the moment. I work in a hotel in Corton just in between Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth. I myself don't plan to move to Russia for another year yet. Want to get everything sorted over here and give myself some time to learn the language a bit more. I am also building a portfolio, so when I do start to move. I can hand this over to restaurants in Saint Petersburg and go from there

Very interesting. However, I would like to make a suggestion. This is that you talk at length with several of the 1,000,000+ people who have left Russia in the last 2 1/2 years. I doubt any of them would persuade you not to move, but you would get a lot important information about actually living there.
А что не рассказал про то что эти миллион + просто испугались сражаться за свою страну.И исходя из этого чего от них ожидать хороших рассказов про Россию.Если они трусы(дрестуны), они хвалить страну не будут.

@@ivanlesovik4431 Кремль строил в основном русский архитектор по фамилии Конь Имени я его к сожалению не помню. Архитекторы строившие Санкт-Петербург по большей части были иностранцы.,работавшие в России по контракту после окончания Которого Сразу уехавшие домой. Кстати Знаменитый Растрелли тоже. В России были иностранцы,но оставались только те,кто принял православие.Россия тогда проходным двором не была и чтобы иностранцу жениться на русской женщине,нужно было пройти очень много ограничений. Как я уже сказал,нужно было принять православие.

Если человек хороший хозяйственник , талантливый руководитель или просто классный специалист, он/она не останется без бизнеса или рабочего места. Почему иностранец должен забирать жену к себе, почему русская женщина не может привезти в Россию мужа иностранца?)) Мы уже не в 90х когда жизнь за границей считалась чем-то сказочным, для меня сейчас в России лучшие условия, конечно не все так легко и просто, но у нас есть отличное образование, медицина, транспорт. И если есть желание заработать деньги, все получается) так зачем уезжать из нашей прекрасной страны, проще мужа привезти сюда)))
You're absolutely right! When I come to a new Russian city or a town, the first thing that I look for is local parks. I'm in love with them! If the next weekend is gonna be sunny and warm, I'll go to Разгуляевский парк. You can look at the maps where it's located. Also, I found a hotel which is located right in that park!!!

Yes. I plan to be a chef when I move to Russia. So money is very different. The average wage is about £600 in their money. One thing that surprised me. All bills like water, gas, electric, and other things like that are all combined into a £50 payment every month. The current exchange for rubles is £1 will get you about 117 rubles. And a normal coffee will cost you about 150 rubles. I can also ask my girlfriend for more information if you would like to know anything specific
@@BritishChef436 So gas , electricity and water are 50 pound a month combined , regardless of how much you use ? Is that 600 pound a month for a chef or is that the average wage for anyone ?
So: in winter: heating £30+ electricity £12 on average, £4 garbage removal, £4 major repairs, £12 utilities for the apartment, and payment to the management company, £10 water. Usually, less, no more than 60 pounds in winter. In the summer my girlfriend doesn't pay for heating. So, people who live in houses higher than 9 floors will never have gas in their house, it is not safe, so I do not know how much gas costs, but it is not expensive
@TrevorCrook-c1s The range of prices is very high, if we talk about big cities, a cook will earn 600-2000 pounds and possibly higher, a nurse 400-800 pounds, a police officer 400-800, but these are just my guesses, I think on average ordinary people in St. Petersburg earn 500-800 pounds, there are higher paid positions and people earn from 1000 pounds
With learning Russian, it helped me alot to just ditch the cases early on and concentrate solely on vocab. I constantly got the cases wrong, probably still do! but i was understood and you can have conversations much sooner! Bald and Bankrupt made a video about this too and it does work. Also from early on, infact when we first met! i told my gf not to talk in english to me at all, she didnt know that many words anyway. All communication was in Russian, using translate alot on viber at first though! It kind of forces you to pick up the language much faster. Even after almost 5 years, im still learning! Some great channels on YT by the way, they helped me so much!
@britinbelarus4434 Thank you so much for your great advice. This is one thing that happens too often. We get comfortable speaking English when we meet. This will definitely be something I will have to break the habit.
My husband and i had long distance relationship for 4 years! From 18- 22 y.o. It was hard, but we knew we would be together in the end. He was studying abroad and i was studying in St- Petes

Даже если 1 из вас решится переехать в другую страну, чтобы жить вместе, это не легко. Финансовая сторона - это одна проблема, и адаптация, это вторая. От любой второй половины потребуется очень много усилий по поддержке второй половины. Без поддержки и 100%уверенности и я бы сказала, самоотдачи от партнера, ничего не выйдет.
Very well said you have to decide which is better for you and what is right for you. When I met my hubby, the situation was slightly different as he was working in Russia when we met, so it wasn't distant relationship. And when his contract finished we had to make the decision what to do, as he couldn't stay in Russia and even if he could it would be a lot more difficult for him to stay as he did not and does not speak any Russian. So that was a decision for me to move in the UK. Anyways it's all for the best as the child born in England will pass on his/her citizenship onto his/her possible children in the future. In case he/she born in Russia, his/her children will not have UK citizenship and they will need to prove it.
