My name is Joe Phelan. I am an animal lover and reptile enthusiast. I started at a young age catching snakes in my backyard as well as keeping many corn snakes and ball pythons. Now I am focused on a varied collection of amazing reptiles of all sorts. When it comes to breeding, I pride myself on quality over quantity. I have a small collection of quality snakes that is steadily growing. I have kept reptiles for over 15 years and would not have gotten here without knowledge from others. Therefore, whether you are buying your first reptile or want a quality breeder, feel free to contact me.
I just adopted mine. We're not sure the age but he's almost 3ft was living in a 20 gal. He's currently in a 40 his 120 gal is coming next week. He's very bitey cause he's a tad underweight and been eating and digesting
I'm a south Floridian (Miami) and in my gecko enclosure it's always 80° and humidity in 40's to 50's during the day so no heat lamp during the day. At night I do give her a heat lamp cause we sleep with ac around 72-73 plus I also use a fan. I realize this is not a gecko and would need slightly different environment but would this be a good snake for me?
Great video! I'm consisidering a Kingsnake for my 2nd snake, which will be my last. I don't want to get too far ahead of myself this late in life! I'm hoping my friends inkdot female and the black banded male will put out a few inkdots next season. I really would like that to me my next snake! I love milk cows too, so the black/white is a cool snake in my eyes! Any chances your next season might bring an inkdot or two?
This is the third year of my girl laying eggs. I think she’s 5. First year I got her she looked about 2 years old and didn’t lay eggs (got her February 2021). She laid all slugs in 2022 and 2023 so I thought my guy wasn’t getting it done. My husband found eggs yesterday and 5 were actually white this time! I candles today and saw veins in 3 and some red in 2. I’ve been watching this same video all three years and making my lay/egg box with a Tupperware. My girl she’s but when I got her off the eggs she looked like she needed to shed again. Is that normal? I haven’t fed her yet and I just wanna make sure she’s ok after laying and still not having eaten. Also, the warmest place in my house is my laundry room right now but not sure if it’s too hot. So I just put the egg box back inside the tank with my girl and boy. Is that ok? Am I overthinking this? I’d be so sad if I did it wrong and they all died
@@theonimz8039 Ahh, yeah, that makes sense. He was globally famous for a bit, but that was a long time ago at this point. Give the Crocodile Hunter show a watch if you're interested in him.
i have a 50% cali king, 25% amel corn, 25% honduran milk snake. she is so beautiful, red eyes, with a leopard print pattern, pink, orange, and yellow; and she has a orange band around her neck, i just love her.
I really hope you have a tank that’s just fucking cruel. One thing is keeping the snake. Don’t even have an enclosure actually Buy a tank dude I’m pretty sure you be depressed as fuck if I had you locked up in the closet and only let you out when I need to feed you. One thing is keeping a pet making environment for him or her information that you given put some money together and buy a tank dude.
I just tonight found three of them under the steps of my storage building. Kind of looked like the might be mating, they were intertwined with each other. Question: if there’s three under there, could there be many more ?
Years later and hes still a massive loss in the world. True conservationist, gentleman, and teacher of the masses. Ultimately it was the confidence that everybody loved him for that eventually got him killed.
Is the cameraman on the ground the whole time filming the Komodo dragon interaction and the Komodo dragon isn’t even attempting to go after the cameraman lol
"Join us next week week and we'll look for more of these beautiful creatures so we can learn more about them by pissing them off." I always think of that South Park line
I got my male MBK right before they became really popular too. First snake to get me back into keeping. It's amazing what goes up in cost so much (and then decreases). Great pet snake to get into. I absolutely love Olive Pythons! Saw these in a video of a youtuber herping in Australia and thought they were amazing. The one they found was quite a bit bigger. Neat video!
Got to give props to the camera man that was right up in front of that snake in the first scene and looking up into the tree as Steve hid up it and away from the commodo dragon.
Why do these legends always seem to be the first to go. I was young when i watched Steve but I remember thoroughly enjoying his enthusiasm and the way he handled animals. "If i get bit, its my fault". Truly a wonderful man like no other. RIP to a legend
