Welcome to the Pandemic Playground with Don and Dave!
This is our channel in which we enjoy playing and sharing our solo and coop gaming experience with you. We play a large variety of genres, but our favorites are space, survival, crafting and sandbox games.
We upload every Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday. Thank you for watching!!!
Honestly, i didn't watched this video But composition of words "Can we survive" in space engineers is triggering me. If there are no hostiles, and you have base, how can you not survive? As soon as you have at least some energy production and respawn point, you pretty much survived.
hey mate cheers for the new videos. tell you what thought I had over kill with 10 large hydro tanks. but think you got me with your assemblers lol. the industrial assemblers are cool but they need to be able link together better some how with its walkways I find the same problem.
An idea for auto production without scripts. Have a cargo container set to house a given component and have an assembler set to only make said component, an event controller turns the assembler on when the container falls bellow a given amount! You could do this for the component that you are all ways using, like ‘Steel Plates’ and so on!
You could actually use the same wheel suspension you have here, but design it like a hovercraft on rails. Set the friction to 0 and keep the suspension tight (so it don't move). And the wheels will act as a barrier for any damage done. Just add thrusters to the top and bottom (and maybe some on the side for added security and stability).
Looks like things are coming together. You might consider editing down your video length a bit since this length can be a bit too long for many viewers.
i feel like we need to have a perfectly balanced center of mass, so its better to use a design that use 4 or more pillars with everything centered. I think it should lead to less pillar damage. the pillars themselves also have to be perfectly aligned with the gravity well so the center-most block of the base should be aligned with gravity and everything else must match that block's axis. should also look into blast door blocks as they dont have physics voxel deformation so even when they're damaged their physics is similar. and just have some welders with reserve steel plates on the lift.
just started the game a few days ago. I build my first base and extended it, build a small mining ship after watching a guide, build now a "bigger" meiner that can transport 100tones but there is absolute no ice near my base. damn.
It’s cool. But at a max speed of 8…. well it’s almost like I may as-well just rocket myself up at that point. That’s an incredibly long elevator ride. I hope the music is good at least. (what is elevator music now, Taylor Swift?)
i need to get a computer for this game as xbox you only have 10000 pcu. this one base and your drilling platforms would be almost half of what we can build on it.
thought about putting 2 more welders on that ship at all? i know you not keeping it like that, but it is a big help on the trips back and forth. thats mad to see you putting your tanks out like that, everyone always cares about covering them up to much. looks good mate.
have crashed my ship several times due to thrusters turned off also... since that every ship I build have event controller which switch thrusters/batts/tanks/lights/ore/etc... off/on when (un)docked....
yeah iv done that as well iv ended up just putting everything on a timer block and switch everything off recharge and stockpile in 1 button. I'll still have the light turn off and on when enter and exit the cockpit as it is so nice having something happen when you get in and out. bit of an after thought you could add the event controller to turn everything off and on when you connect and disconnect from the lock so it's just one button to lock in and do all your shutdown system..
I have also now been using the event controller to turn on thrusters on my miner when it gets too heavy so iv figured out how many I can fly on. then just have the other turn on when in a good cargo full. then turns them off when I connect to the base. been saving on power and hydro
I don't understand why I should go into space. The only thing I do in space is mine for stuff I need to live in space. There is a lot of stuff to do but there isn't any reason to do it other than creating a habitat to survive in. if I don't go to space at all, I don't need anything that I need to go to space for. Am I missing something? What does everyone else do in space?
SE is the same spirit as Minecraft. There is no perpuse no reson to do enything. You do things because you can. If you dont want to go to space dont. If you will try living in a base on the Moon do it. There is no right or wrong way in SE 😊
with mine iv found to keep the mags alive they are better on a piston with the 2 bottom bars (forget the names) but weaken those badge and the pistons help the mags jump over the thing or you can bring them out a little bit so they are floating just above the surface but still able to lock so they do touch at all.. that is mad always fun ideas from you mate
I did read that you can save all subgrids using ctrl, alt, b. iv not tried yet. mad fun chandelier drill. you ganna hate me event controller and timer block to turn drills and pistons off when full then start when at what ever level... your power building looks f...en mad, still admiring!!
the Ship looks more like a Poodle. Suggestion..for the large drill ontop of the hill.. drill a fairly large hole.. then place 2 ejectors.. (for rock only) attached with piping.. behind the solar panels.. on the opposite side of the drill where the oonnector was originally for the ship to power the projector.
"I'm gonna swing from the chandelier From the chandelier I'm gonna live like tomorrow doesn't exist Like it doesn't exist I'm gonna fly like a bird through the night Feel my tears as they dry I'm gonna swing from the chandelier From the chandelier"
