What are you using for the axels? It looks like heavy tubing instead of the solid aluminum ones everyone sells. I just got my first set of balloon tires and waiting on second to arrive and need axel ideas.
Look up surf fishing solutions out of Jacksonville Florida on Facebook he did all this work for me and I believe you’re right it’s solid axels. He will know what tires you have and what size axles you need and the kit to install them
Why not use real sand fleas? Won’t stay on the hook? Is it legal to just scoop up some sand fleas from the beach and use them? Never salt water fished at all, headed to Sarasota this weekend.
Ive only had mine for a week so far but ive been removing the drive before entering any high weeds or shallow water. I have no expectations for it to survive being slammed into the bottom of the lake.
I am new to surf fishing & spending way too long armchair researching gear on RU-vid. Found your channel & you are hands down keeping it more real & honest. Appreciate the stripped down no bs approach. Thank you sincerely for inspiring me to make my own rigs. Saludos desde España.
Glad you like it. The RU-vid game has really changed and rewards people who sell a bunch of stuff. Surf fishing is one of the easiest ways to fish and people really over complicate it. Hope you catch a bunch of fish. Tight lines. -Jesse
Nice video. Im thinking about coming down to Sebastian. Are you only catching them during the cooler months or during the summer months also? When i lived up north we used to catch them all summer in the bay but they call them fluke up there. Please let me know if i take a trip down in july ill have a chance at catching them in the inlet. Thank You
I’m not sure to be honest with you. I haven’t lived in jax in over a year. Worst case is there are plenty of other fish you can catch. Reds trout blues etc. either way best of luck
Sometimes the people working in bait and tackle shops are rude and it can be intimidating for people new to fishing… I’m new to saltwater fishing so I never know that bait is in season or not or that is available
4:32 the two pad eyes you snapped caribeaners to are for the back seat straps... NEVER DRILL HOLES INTO THE KAYAK DECK! The silicone is useless and turns yellow. If you must add pad eyes, put them on the gunwales (gunnels) at least a few inches above the deck. Spray paint won't stick to the plastic for long and you'll get paint chips on everything. Trust me I did this a while back. "Map Pockets" Props on the @finfactory sticker! Nice set up!
Bryan’s work is top notch! Everything he does is great. Love me some hook’d fabrication as well. I have the fish n mate push handle, however still gonna get Brian to make me one here soon. If he’s down to course lol. If you don’t mind I’m gonna have to steal your rod holder extensions, that’s one of my biggest pet peeves is my rods flying around in my cart
Most people don’t even have a cart so the fact that you have a basic cart to go surf fishing is a very good start and people that pay thousands of dollars for surf guards are idiots. Get one that suits your needs and that’s all you need my friend.
Ok, the only thing that looks “better” on the five is the Slammer type drag. My 8500 vi has 30 lbs of drag, more than enough. So is the v better? I don’t think so. Better value for the money, probably.
Great information . I am starting out with a bone stock Fish N n Mate Jr cart that fits into the back of my smaller SUV. I can see some mods coming for sure, one step at a time
I love your videos but I unsubscribed becuase buying a cheaper cart doesn’t make you a beginner not everyone wants to spend over a grand on surf cart. Thanks for making the people that love fishing think they have to buy a 1500 dollar cart. Shit vid.
So good to see you back on the tube!! We've missed you! I'm going to try a heavy duty leather punch on the flip flop to see if it'll make a round float? Just a thought, I'll keep you posted! Wife will be wondering what happened to my flip flops!!! 🤔 😂😂😂😂
Got some in the ice box ready to smoke on the grill to see how they taste because I never had them before but the red drum was some good eating of the small ones but the big ones is good to put back because of the worms they have in them. Nice catch 🪝👍.
That's what our Creator put it here for survival and it's all a gift given from above to feed yourself and Family and others who like eating fish 🐟 to but not for Hollywood sports TV BS 😊🪝🐟👍❤️
I like your video. We think alike! I tried using rigs without swivel and snap. I lost more sinkers and had more line twist. Swivels and snaps are only 2 cents ea or less when bought directly from China (Aliexpress or Temu), so why skip them? Besides, I reuse whatever doesn't get lost while fishing, so cost is even less. Many times all I need is new line and a quick resharpen of the hooks, to retie a rig. Seems I am forever reusing snaps and swivels. I keep a resealable waste bag when surf fishing. I toss all the used rigs in there and break em down once home. I am only throwing away the line many times and I am not littering the beach. Again, really good video, and what I like about you is that you aren't selling like the other fishing youtubers! Tight lines!!
