That is terrible advice. It's far easier to fix your form before you have muscle memory than when you are squatting 300lb. You should strive for excellent form through all weight ranges as you progress
I think his point is that people will be too afraid to make progress over little mistakes that more than likely won’t hurt their progress. Having good form is very important but people are built differently and sometimes building up to certain weights or exercises requires different techniques
If powerlifters would do mobility work like Olympic Weightliftingers do they would have significantly less joint and pain issues. Sadly most powerlifters think mobility/stretching hurts their gains.
Fuck yeah brah. Immediately thought: “damn, another one of these videos saying I suck.” Damn shame that’s half of the fitness community now. Keep it up brah 💪
I know kneesovertoesguy aren't the first to do all these exercise but there are definitely a lot of similarities of the presentations of these exercise ever he made it a thing
This is great! I have followed Dre for quite a while now and knew a lot of info here. Adding in mobility and movement into kettlebell training was the difference for me. I was very unsure how I liked kettlebells and felt very tight and sore the days after workouts. Swamping in some of his variations I had almost immediate results. I still have a lot to work on for mobility in some areas but I'm rarely feeling tight or sore these days. Great job guys!
wish i had this video 10 years ago. not for me, but for my teammates. everyone i play with say something about my moves on the field, but i see it as an easy thing for anyone to do! most people i play with are all about the juke (because they are quick and have speed) or a sloooow spin (because they dont know what theyre doing). oh and i play in 2 different leagues, one is indoor 5v5 with 2 flags and the other is outdoor 7v7 with 3 flags (hence why the full spin doesnt work well). Ive recently added the dip when playing qb to step up in the pocket vs the rush for an easy run. Personally i would add one other move to your list, the 180 backwards run. i used to do this more often but you do a half spin and keep running backwards to keep your eyes on a defender so you can quarter spin again if needed.
Great, great episode! Both educational and fun to watch. I’m very excited for more episodes. Also, Lauren is so impressive. Her force of nature truly inspires me as a female athlete and fitness trainer. Thank you, both!
I absolutely loved this! I tried some of this today during my workout 😅 Been following you all for years. Thank you so much. Hmm 🤔 fitness modality next, Pilates!
This video reminded me that fitness is not a competition its about working together to make each other stronger and becoming the best you can ... It takes time and there's always something new to learn 😊 thanks this is such a great video ❤ 👏
