After working as an engineer for 4 years I finally took to the leap of faith in building luxury experiential vacation rentals by building The Pacific Bin, a shipping container home built from 5 shipping containers. I have a passion for filmmaking and construction which has lead me to creating this channel. My goal is to document my build processes varying from shipping container construction to small Scandinavian spa's. I will take you through every step of the way, from the initial design to the final touches. You will get an inside look at how I create these beautiful homes that are perfect for your next vacation. Join me on this journey as we explore the creation of luxury experiential vacation rentals.
The bears 🥰 this makes for a great Airbnb I would definitely book if I lived in your country. Just found the channel because of the bears but need to binge watch more so subscribed. Take care x
It is a house with some shells of containers! Wow, we want to save money and not get another mortgage for the next 100 years to finish payments, I'm sure my grandchildren will finish the payment after we are gone.
Take an actual beam, attach all anchors in the right place, Set it up on a make shift scaffolding suport so that your anchor feet reach into the holes correctly, then pour the concrete in the two exterior pillars, let cure, then pour the concrete in the inner ones. Perfectly alligned foundation beam without any tension. Rent a concrete vibrator attachment for your cordless drill pour one third of the pillar let the air out by vibrating, repeat for 2/3 and 3/3.
Our son is low functioning aut!st1c and will always live with us. he is 20 so we want to give him a little independence and hope to start building hiim his own tiny home later this year. It will eventually be connected to our future home via a breezeway or long private hallway but he will definitely have a lot of privacy so your builds have been really interesting and looking forward to watching this new one.
That guest book is incredible. Beautiful and super functional. Do you really do all that stuff on every checkin? That's a lot of work. And what if you want to go on vacation?
I'm watching all these videos tonight. Subscribed. Hope you clear all the vegetation from under the deck and give yourself some clearance between the brush and foliage to help protect from fire hazard. With trees so close, I would consider a sprinkler system, just in case.
Nice. I would do the whole roof in ice and water too. Doesn't cost a whole lot more in the grand scheme of things and seals the whole roof up. Cheap insurance against leaks.
I didn't have anything extra to say and to just fill in the video with nonsense is a waste of my time and your time. The goal is to optimize for value both for me and you guys! ☺️
@@devonloerop nah i agree with him, youre turning into a sellout man. every video is sponsored and the segment is 2-3 minutes long each time. thats not even mentioning the shilling of channel memberships, your airbnbs, your plans, affiliate links, etc. Views are down for you because sponsored content isn't what viewers want to see. change.
@@drxgan yet views over the last month are up drastically 🤔 plus you're getting these videos for free. Plus the more funds I'm able to generate means the sooner and more epic my projects I film for yall will be. Also, If there's a cool product that I truly believe works I will continue to highlight them as channel sponsors. Authenticity and building cool experiential homes is the name of my game, you're more than welcome to take your eyeballs elsewhere.
@@devonloerop I completely disagree with everyone else here. You are doing an INCREDIBLE job my making this free content. I'm trying to get into unique builds and your focus on construction has been extremely helpful. The sponsorships help fund these videos, I get it. Keep the content coming and I love the focus on construction!
So dos the house not have any curtains or blinds? I know it’s in the woods, but I would feel really uncomfortable if I had no way of shutting off sight from the outside, plus my wife suffers from migraines so shutting out the lights is a must have.
Most benefits are gone once you start deviating from the container formfactor and adding metal work. If you make clever use of the structural integrity you don't have to invest nearly as much into the foundation either.
You're hosting is next level, love to see this stuff instead of people with the hole arbitrage etc. Gave me lots of inspiration to optimize my air bnb!
It varies a ton but a good range is the mid $200's to $400 per night. If you got to the www.thepacificbin.com and click book now you can see the availability! Love to host you!
Get the bear boxes and make the concrete wood sheds into an outdoor shower, recycling shed, firewood shed, guest supply shed, sauna or outdoor extra seating. So many possibilities
Thank you for the immense information , I have a 5 acres land in Snohomish county Maryville and this was a great eye opener to what I might need to endeavor in. I will be watching all your videos for more insight Thanks
