9:07 - As I gaze into the eyes of my opponent, I realize nothing more than that I have been bested. The sheer wit of him to outsmart me is past my judgment. I feel nothing more than disappointment in my own self to let it go this far. I try and make it up to myself and try to make my comrade feel less guilt, but the only words I could muster up were “where did it go so wrong”. My partners eyes are like drills digging a well into the side of my head. I can’t find the strength to meet them. Nonetheless he acts upon his emotions, I look over quickly to find him plunging to his death, trying to reach our enemy. He fails, as I shed a tear. My heart rate goes up as I sweat in fear, only I could’ve stopped him, only if I had looked into his eyes and told him it would be ok, that there is a light to the end of this tunnel. My feelings overwhelmed me, I had to act, and quick. I realized the only thing left to do is try or die trying. I step closer to the edge, my opponent laughs on the other side, filling my head with more doubt. But I can’t, I can’t let him win without a fight. I take one last breath as I leap toward him, only to find myself falling as my once cherished friend had. Yet again my eyes lock into my enemies, his grin is like a blade stabbing through me. Before no thought were left to be had, no memories… I close my eyes and think, “Where did it all go wrong”.
