Excellent video👍👍! My plan is to go to Kamikochi during winter. Does it bus operates in the month of February? I have seen a youtuber driving a car all the way to Nakanoyu bus stop area and park his car in front of the Kama Tunnel gate.
Thanks for making this video. You said to make sure we go there on a sunny day. But I am planning a day trip there from Takayama end if Dec to see the wintery scenery, is it still ok? 😅
Your apartments look lovely. It will encourage us to return to Takayama and stay there. It will be good if you could also recommend some restaurants or cafes as well.
We had the opportunity to be at this top platform on good weather but did not stop at the mid station tho. Reminds us of the views we get in Switzerland too. Great video with great information about the onsen which we always use whenever we travel to Japan.
We visited Takayama at least 6x before Covid. It was most enjoyable before the place became overly touristic as we noticed a drop in quality of simple items like wasabi soft serve etc. Our regular ryokan on a hill Takayama Kanko hotel has since closed and been bought over. I think they demolished the whole place. Lovely memories during our winter and autumn visits. We were able to see the Koi in Hida Takayama city and also Hida Folk Village in winter. Perhaps the next time if we do return, we should try your Air B&B. So sad that Hyperdia has stopped its helpful english online service for trains. Thankfully we still have Jorudan.
Greetings from Singapore.😊 It’s wonderful to know you bounced back from the challenges. Your travel videos are very informative and it’s great to experience your travels with you on RU-vid. Keep it authentic and honest. I am not sure if you will need to update some of your older videos as there may be some changes in those cities after 2 yrs eg your home city Takayama. Great that you now have a life travelling companion as well. Congratulations!
Hi I am planning to go to Shirakawa-go on my 13 days trip to Japan in mid January. It is my first trip to Japan. Is it worth the time and effort for the light up event? Or do you recommend to just simply explore Shirakawa-go without the light up event?
hello 👋! I'm planning to visit this place on October. Is it possible to hike early morning before the museum opens? how long take will it take to hike (roundtrip)?
Unfortunately just too cute. Hida Folk Village is one of my favorite places in Japan. I saw it in mid November. I agree that it is preferable to Shirakawa Go and much easier to reach. That doesn’t mean that both aren’t meant to be enjoyed.
Hankyu indeed is always great fun! It is still not very popular in Austria, but I real enjoyed playing Hankyu in my garden alone today. At the moment I am limited to low draw weights, because I did some damage to my shoulder in a riding accident. So Hankyu is the perfect archery sport!
Takayama for four nights, April 2025! Thank you for inspiring viewers like me to plan a stunning, more rural experience in Japan. (We visited the amazing and famous big cities of Japan over three weeks in June 2019.)
Hi, thank you for your video it was very informative, May i ask if you will need snow tyres when driving from Fujikawaguchiko to Takayama between the 10th to 13th of November 2024. Your advise would be very appreciated. We will be driving the whole way during our holidays.
The prayer is short and beautiful, taking only a few minutes to complete. It is simple and hopefully answered quickly. How often do people pray in Japanese Buddhist temples?
