I gotta 2006 TL with 120k on it. I’ve always wanted to start working on it but never got the knowledge or time to do so, you’ve motivated me to start looking into it. Should I scrap the one I have now and find a new one or do you think it’s worth keeping? Has 2 noticeable dents I’d have to work out eventually lol
hey man would all of this work for an 04 Acura tl 3.2 L. I haven’t found any good sounding exhaust setups for an Acura and I’d love to have the exhaust setup you got
I'm pretty sure all 04-08 base model TL's have the same OEM exhaust setup. So YES! this setup should work for your 04. It's all custom, so it's going to take alot of work
Not sure, as I did not do any dyno before and after. Should add 5-10 Hp, in theory. Also could be even more if you add complimenting mods, like a cold air intake and intake runners
Good job my Acura 2009 don't know got me crazy put new batteries new stared new alternator buy it rum perfect like 6 months know car no want to stared checked batteries stared alternator it still good don't know what can be it check fuses it good what you thing need to check see can be the problem thank you
Hey man, thanks for the detailed installation of the 3.7 manifold. I do have a question about the connector for the butterfly valve. Was it just a straight plug-in or were there any modifications done to it to plug-in?
@@thecarfiend11 oh yes, I saw that. I was asking more about the butterfly valve connection that sits on the intake cover instead of the upper manifold.
Jesus boy you mangled that fuckin slave. Get the right tools all you need is some snap ring plyers and a pick... fuckin drilling holes to get out a retaining clip.
@sebestiensoliz8831 I have a 2006 Acura MDX 3.5L. Can I swap out the Intake Manifold for a 2008 Honda Odyssey from a Mini van 3.7 Intake Manifold? And, do I have to cahnge the TB or can I use my stock TB?
A clutch delay valve, or Check Valve exists to eliminate shockloads generated by hardshifts, particularly at high engine rpm. Shockloads do damage drivetrain components and ARE the cause of 2nd gear failure as well as wheel hop. The clutch assembly is made the sacrificial part by enabling the clutch to "slip" to dissapate the forces generated at a high rpm shift. This slipping of the clutch at high rpm is detrimental to clutch but it is the opinion of the Honda engineers that this is preferable to sacrifice the clutch, a component which itself is a wear-item.
I appreciate the detailed comment. At the end of the day, I base it on "feel". And I'm very used to a more direct feel regarding the clutch pedal. This mod definitely made it feel more like how I'm used to with my last older Honda. Understandable how the Acura engineers made it this way to prolong the life of the clutch/transmission. But at the end of the day, I'll gladly sacrifice a better driving experience for some reliability/longevity
Turnd out really good man. Im picking up my 06 6spd base this weekend. I want to do pretty much the same thing and get factory fog lights at the bottom of the bumper. Am i gonna need to get different headlights since the fogs are built in to the headlight housing?
