Hi, I can buy a Nikon-Sony adapter. Unfortunately the regulation of aperture is damaged. Can I still use such an adapter normally for the F lens, in which there is a factory aperture regulation?
A smaller one is better for pictures in my opinion. Less powerful for focal burning and lighter is always easier to handle than heavier... and making it look larger or smaller is easily controlled by the distance from the background... Before special effects technology they made movies showing a person in the hand of a giant by simply having the giant very close and the small person at a distance and adjusting the camera angle.
hi jen, I have been using the crane 2 with my m50 and a sigma 18-35 for quite a while, always with the external focus motor, which is working well, but this setup is nearly on top of the gimbals weight capacity. (because of the sigma and the focus motor the gimbal got too much front weight, that for I had to add xtra weight behind the cam) I never had the idea to connect the cam via cable with the gimbal, but as you said it - it works like charm! focus puller is even tighter and I have access to other controls as well (av, tv, iso, + - ) Leme say it, I share your excitement :)
Great video, and it's nice to find someone on YT who can actually plan and deliver a tutorial precisely and concisely. As for the barn-doors impeding on the beams, I would think that it's a moot point, as the light output will probably be further impeded when the barn-doors are closed inwards to any extent.
Nikkor AF-P lenses have purely electronic focus. Even "manual" focus requires power from the host camera; as you experienced, the focus ring doesn't do anything mechanically inside the lens. That's why the focus was locked while using the adapter. It would be the same as trying to focus the lens with the camera turned off. The other two lenses, even though they're auto-focus, turning the focus ring mechanically moves focus elements in the lens. Those lenses mounted on a DSLR, you would actually see the focus change in the optical viewfinder even with the camera turned off. So you need some kind of _mechanical_ focus, either AF-S, AF-D (the original Nikon screw-driven AF), or old-school manual focus, to work with an adapter like this. I like how you explain the various adapters simply, but without dumbing it down. Are you planning on trying any electronic Nikkor -> Sony adapters?
Is there anyway that you could post on how to balance the M 50 and the exact measurements that you used I’ve been struggling with mine for about a week or two now trying to get it balanced and I can’t get it balanced so I’d much appreciate it

Hi Jen, your video was great. I have been looking at other videos by other reviewers and yours was by far the best. Lots of technical information and demonstration of how each type of light worked.
Oh alright...kinda hoping for a Lola thing but this was good too. This would be good for a traveling key, live-streaming from the road. Thanks I never saw this one before.
