Hello and welcome to uk tool talk, I love all aspects of powertools ie reviewing them! Testing them! Fixing them! Dismantling them and even altering them, iv been in the building trade as a plumber for 38 years so and I’d like to think iv got Allot of knowledge about powertools ( especially makita!) Iv picked up over the years, yes you heard it I’m the biggest makita super fan boy in the uk so if it’s makita content your after uk tool talk is the place to be!, second only world wide to the mighty tools and stuff from New Zealand, what’s on my channel, well since my channel is very small at the moment I only have limited resources to get hold of the latest tools to review but I try ( if it’s makita and not mega expensive it’s all good) here’s my pitch!! With my channel you will get honesty! You will get an in depth review and testing and opinion of said tool and more importantly to me you will get a giggle and bants and querky ness
Awesome man , im still using my old 9.6v makitas my main one is the 6095d but also use the 6903vd which is a impact driver which my father bought me for my 17th birthday
Doesn't it cost a fortune to go nowdays. I thought it was only spoilt uni kids that can afford to go because daddy pays. Hopefully they don't all leave their tents and sleeping bags behind because they're too lazy to take them home 🤣
@@combrogi it can be a bit like that, lots of posers and fakers but still I’d say 75% good people, we are lucky not having to try and get a ticket!!, the tickets are free for us since we work there 🤟🤟
Great video, I like knipex tools, I recently bought the new ratcheting cable knife, it was presented in the new update video, along with this tube cutter. The knife is expensive too, it works, I can fold the blade, it's safe to use, I want to test it in cold weather, when the insulation is harder. But sometimes knipex just complicated simple designs. I also use their plastic tube cutter, the bix, it's a good tool. Thanks for your onest review.
Excellent… things of note…. I’ve got a multi tool that sounds just like that when I use it 😂 (still going strong though🙌)… also, I had an old morris minor as my first car.. my dad hand painted it a turquoise blue… not quite makita, but close enough. Thanks for the video mate👍
@UKTOOLTALK So 3 years ago i bought a DMR115b , great sounding radio compared to my DMR104 which suffered from horrendous base BUT i'm interested in how you're getting along with your DMR115 as all is not as rosey as i first thought as i hardly use the Bluetooth ! I tend to listen to DAB and Absolute radio more . First thing i found with the DMR115 is that the batteries last half as long as the DMR104 ! When listening to DAB i generally have my volume on 15 and on the 104 i get 3 days out of a 5ah battery but only a day and a half on the 115 but that isn't the biggest problem ! Travelling from site to site i've noticed that the 115 when on DAB suffers from distortion and no signal a lot more than the 104 does ! Which is a big pain and to add that the 104 is only DAB and not DAB+ , most stations have now moved to DAB+ including all of the Absolute radio stations bar the main channel , Absolute Radio stations although they have the no repeat guarantee between 9am & 5pm play the same songs everyday so after a few weeks i flick channels . I also heard from others that the XGT MR range of radios also suffer from weak DAB signal like the DMR115 with all their aerials being in the handles. I was going to buy a DMR110 ( they were on offer for £65 a couple of years ago ) But like the DMR112 they've been discontinued and prices have gone stupid , so i bought the DMR301 which i managed to get for £185 ( i only paid £145 for the DMR115 , all prices inc vat ) . With the DMR301 i get around 2 days out of a 5ah battery and the DAB signal is more or less on a par with the DMR104 . I'd like to hear your thoughts on the DMR115 four years after buying id and if you don't use DAB your thoughts on the Bluetooth battery drain and lack of Bluetooth range . Cheer jompy
Awesome comment my friend thanks so much!, in regards my radio I use it as a Bluetooth speaker pretty much all the time, I don’t listen to any radio station at all so I didn’t know about the dab issue, in regards the battery life iv nothing to compare it to, it seems to kinda last most of the day on say volume 15ish, my biggest problem is very situation specific ie when I have my radio on top of the vert ramp in the warehouse where the skatepark resides it’s just not loud enough!! I wish makita would bring out a mega radio with huge speakers that run off 2 xgt battery’s or something, thank you for your input and I’m sure it will come in very handy for folks buying makita radios! Cheers 🤟🤟
That was fun. Did you enjoy polishing Makita Man's massive helmet? The bigger tool looked quite impressive at first, managed some decent screwing, but the smaller one looked nicer and turned out to be more potent. We should organise a big meet up so everyone can handle and compare one another's tools, maybe put them head to head, and find out how much juice is in them. 😊
Looking forward to part 2. Now, if I win (or if I don't) I'd like to send you some utterly terrible Makita fakes for your entertainment. I'll email you.
Great video👏🏻 thank you for spending and sharing. I like knipex a lot but having watched this I will be keeping clear of this tool when it hits the merchants. Well done sir
I have a pair of these speakers now, since wanted the stereo sound, it's great after adding the second one. But what I dont have is a side by side sound test with the Makita radio. But what I can remember, I think it is pretty much as loud.
I've got a rigid similar to that. It's at least 20 years old. The only thing it does not do is ratchet. It's handy sometimes when you need to get into an installed pipe. Usually it's too big for that though.
I knew it was going to be crap before you even opened the box. At least you liked the packaging. Looks like the Germans have been learning origami from the Japs. Just send it back for a refund if you bought it from Amazon. I've sent tools back before "Bad design, not fit for purpose" I imagine a lot of RU-vid reviewers do this with almost everything.
In France, we generally use 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 22 and 28mm pipe. Of course, many English come over with their 15mm pipes, which causes problems with compatibility.
Oh what a nuisance sir 🤪thanks for reaching my friend I did not know that about French pipe!! I’m presuming there is a 15mm to 16 adhaptor or coupling to sort it, sorry from across the channel 😔
Why did they decided to over-engineer a mini adjustable pipe cutter design thats only ever been less than adequate on microbore & absolute garbage on anything bigger? Pipe slice all day long for me, the Bahco set will cost you a little more than this Knipex but worth every penny 👍
I really don't know what they were thinking. I have a similar one, but smaller and less complicated, and the only thing it's used for is extremely tight spaces where I can't use any other cutter. I think it was $5.
ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0r19yCoch08.html Aluminum alloy casting, not CNC processing, I Hold back it. The paint is not all parts, and even anodizing is not use. This is made in Germany, with the price, it is really "excellent workmanship and German precision".
Oh probably my friend, I’m a bit laza fair when it comes to grammar ( did you see what I did there) bit of a tip!! I’m very very stubborn and contrary so everytime I get a message pulling me up about this I’m likily tu du thee opozit 🤟🤟
is not middle name that is not correct grammar, middle belongs Top, Middle and bottom, correct grammar is ''other name , '' because it is other name, many people would have more than one name 'other name '' Jon, Harry, Larry, so which is middle ? it is not possible to identify.
I own a flexvolt dewalt grinder. The company I work for has the top of the line milwaukee grinders. And genuinely, they are so weak and lousy. They don't spin fast enough, and they bog down from the slightest bit of pressure. Whereas my dewalt actually feels more powerful than a corded grinder. It shocked me the first time I used the milwaukee how awful it was
If you want a Ferrari that doesn't start all the time take the Makita, if you want a Ford ranger that is never gonna break but lacks power take the DeWalt. If you want something fast powerful and reliable take the Milwaukee
Have you tried the 40v xgt range ? 1600w 125mm grinders, breakers, disc cutters, professional chainsaws, and outdoor tools. Absolutely unreal performance ! And the quality to go with it too
Hi there iv got a few xgt tools, if you scroll down through my videos you will find them ( I must put them on a playlist!!) I only use my xgt tools in heavy industrial work!!, in that situation these tools rule!!! 🤟🤟
Mmmmmm interesting opinion and you’re probably right, I think every tool company’s tools have got worse in regard’s longevity to make more profits!! It’s a dangerous and tricky game to play tho 🤟🤟
