These were all trout lakes, and the season was still closed at the time. For bears, I store my food safely at night, and I bring bear spray in addition to my knife.
Hey! What equipment do you use for shooting your stuff? The intro looked great and I'm sure I can easily capture stuff like that with my sony a7r4 + a tripod. Will definitely use it as an inspiration for bushcraft series that I'm filming in Spain
I was in awe of the night sky, and excited to hear the wolves, and also full of nerves when it went on and on through till morning. Nature at its best. Well done!
The night sky was so incredibly beautiful it made me emotional... THEN the wolves. OMG! What an amazing experience! Wow. I can't imagine what it would be like to be there listening to that. What a magical experience that must have been. I would love to hear that one day. I would need nothing more in my life to make it complete. And then I slightly spoiled the dream by realising you were wrapped up cosy in your sleeping bag like the perfect wolf-size burrito snack...
It really was an incredible experience Louise. Probably the most special experience I've ever had out in the wild. But it also did get my heart racing a bit. As you noted, I was quite vulnerable laying out there like a burrito 😄
Thanks Kyle! I suggest trying a short solo trip. There are many lakes in Algonquin that are near an access point. Magnetawan, Hambone, Rain are examples. You will gradually gain experience and will be able to more comfortably venture further over time.
Another great video! Your passion for tripping always comes through in your videos. If you tou don't mind, what size is that green Osprey pack? I'm currently using a 100L+ pack and im considering getting something smaller for solo trips. Thanks
@@kevinthewild sure did, watching these videos makes me want to go camping more and more and getting out in the woods. I've been in a wheelchair due to an amputation for a year and a half now with kidney failure, it's tough for me to get out and do the things I used to do . Thank you and others for putting together good videos of your trips and camping adventures, canoeing and fishing, etc.
@@JohnBurdette-or7if I'm very sorry to hear about your health issues John. I do sincerely hope that you find a way to continue spending time in the outdoors in whatever manner you can. One of the main reasons I make these videos is to share the beauty of these wild places with those that may no longer be able to visit them. That will also be me someday - but at least I know that I will be able to relive these wonderful experiences through these videos when that day finally comes.
Wow! Panama! I've encountered bears and wolves on my trips. We are not permitted to carry firearms in Provincial and National Parks here in Canada. The black bears and wolves here are normally afraid of humans, but I bring bear spray and a knife for protection.
Juju. I think is terrible. I practice bikepacking in my country. Im afraid of coyotes , jaguar and snake. But when you are outside is great. Sorry my bad English
Hi. I'm a new subscriber. I just came across your channel today. The pics you have at the beginning of day 4 are absolutely stunning. I can only imagine what it was like to see in person. Thanks for sharing your trip!
Nice paddle Kevin. Some pretty amazing views . I mite have to do a bucket lit . Living on the West Coast we have come nice lakes but nothing like Canadian Wilderness has to offer. Sometime the rain is welcome when it that amazing. Around Bend Oregon out!!
