I look at these videos on JamesAllen and BlueNile and some I’m unable to see the flaws - besides obvious black spots. I ended up buying a .65ct diamond from JamesAllen - E SI1 cushion cut with only inclusion noted a cloud but can’t see it - probably as I’m not a diamond expert. Now worried I bought a dull hazy diamond 🤦♀️
Sad to see so many people hating on diamonds !diamonds are extremely rare above a certain caret size, almost impossible to find a diamond above 5 carats. Formed over millions of years in the fires of Mount doom , there’s something very romantic about that and they glow under ultraviolet lights, I guess you would rather have a knock off instead of the real deal
Most folks dont buy a diamond to sell them later on. I got 4 carat studs from the lab, 4 grand, any other known sellers with the 4 carat mined diamond studs start at 12 to 20 grand, and thats probably not top shelf. They look great. Unless your rich, who has 20 grand for a set of earrings.
Looking to buy some lab grown diamond earrings. What color clarity and cut do you recommend? I personally like princess cut but is there a cut that provides more sparkle?
As an Indian jewellery retail store owner, I could say that the only 2 metals that people pay you for is 18K(for gifting), 22K(for personal use) GOLD & SILVER
This generation buying fake diamonds because they overpaid 150k for their 2br house in the ghetto and over paid 50k for a half ton pick up truck. Lab grown diamonds are fake ...period it's fake junk , not natural = fake. You can polish a terd but it's still a terd
Wow, how disappointing to see a proponent of the corporate greed machine trashing lab grown diamonds which are real, natural diamonds and advocate for mined diamonds with all their controversy, environmental negligence and human rights violations.
I want a lab diamond because I want a larger diamond with better color and clarity. I also want a fancy cut which seems to be available in lab diamond. I do not like the effects of diamond mining on the earth and communities and would never pay for a natural diamond knowing the dynamics around natural diamonds.
You are the best at explaining prices versus color and clarity which are crucial to the purchasing of a diamond saving us cash in the long run. Love your videos.
What a minefield! Laboratory grown Diamonds have laser etched information on the 'girdle'. Ir would be an obvious boost to the Natural Diamond Market if they also had the same information impressed upon the Girdle too... and they do not. It is incumbent upon the owner to have a valuation based solely upon another person's judgement....let's be honest - that's just a point of view. There it is - all the information you need on your Gem stone ...the three 'C' s - visible through a lens or magnifier on your phone.
From my perspective, now the lab grown market is seriously on the rise, it’s a great time to purchase a natural diamond & it’s possible prices for natural diamonds could (& likely will) drop even further…great news!!👍
I have a fabulous 1.5ct diamond ring made circa 1920 ( but the stone is mid Victorian going by the cut ) ) I bought it 25years ago for £1,500. I got married last year and we got our wedding rings from Goldsmiths. The rep saw my diamond ring and asked to see it. She said the stone was really top quality and it would set me back approx £15-20K today! ( shop retail that is ). I will never sell it though ever, the value is irrelevant to me.
Great story, victorian cuts are not in fashion anymore you would have a difficult time selling. But for sure a small market that really loves them in the private sales side. You bought 2nd hand which is always the way to go. top cut diamonds in the 1.5 carat are going for around 9k right now. needless to say, you got a good value buying 2nd hand. Though you had a positive experience since you bought something private, most people do not share the same experience. Reselling a natural stone is awful. Not an investment.
Who actually cares if the value goes up??? Im not going to pawn my wifes ring. Im also Not going to sell it!! I didn’t know you have to constantly buy wedding rings’ because you don’t!!! 🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱
THINGS ALWAYS CHANGE. REAL MINDED DIAMONDS WILL PROBABLY COME BACK IN VALUE AGAIN AND QUADRUPLE THEIR VALUE. AND THE PEOPLE WHO MINDED THEM ARE OUT OF AN INCOME AND STARVING NOW. AND WHY ARE LAB CREATED LAB DIAMONDS SO CHEAP?
Lab diamond was$3000 and now I can get it for $200 China India built factories and are making thousands of them daily If you want fake check out Moissanite
