For de reel czek akcent listn to Miloš Zeman. (sic!) This lady with the Czech accent is really an extraordinary speaker. Most of Czechs have strong Czenglish.
If I have one tip for english speaker, it's to be nice when speaking, I'm a cashier, fully bilingual (as you may have guessed, lol, I'm a native french speaker), if someone come to me and is really nice and ask to talk in english because they aren't comfortable, yeah I'm gonna do it and do it nicely. But people that just come and yell in my face ENGLISH ! Hell no I ain't doing it. It's a sign of respect to serve someone in their language in a place where the language isn't the one they speak. You don't respect me, why should I respect you ? And this is from a situation I have lived multiple times, the girl in front of her asked me kindly to speak english, which I have done and the girl right behind her yelled at me english, so I yell back french ! But normally I switch between the language without any difficulties and will really do it with the customer, yes I always start in french, if I see it doesn't work, I will switch in english ! And don't be affraid to ask for french if you want to practise, most of us will be super happy to let you practice and talk slowly (note that if I'm in a ruch, I might deny kindly because I don't want to lose that much time, but I will not be rude about it, it's just that.. you know... I'm still working and have thigns to do lol) Also I would like to add that I really like the mtl vibe of sometimes people will talk to each other, one speaking french, the other speaking english and they will understand each other and have a full conversation in a different language, which I think is something unique to mtl
I believe more than half of these people don’t represent their country’s major English accent. Some have very good English that has nothing to do with their country’s accent.
Buen video, es bonito ver a gente esforzándose por aprender otro idioma. Yo hablo español e inglés y estoy aprendiendo francés y portugués de Brasil, que aunque los entiendo, me gustaría también poder llegar a hablarlos :)
I can speak english a intermediate level, but considered can’t speak english. In the video some people are beginers, but have the trust for try speak. Sometime we need more trust
Russian girl was speaking without any accent, but kyrgyz lad had strong russian accent! Maybe russian is his first language or kyrgyz and russian english accents sound the same
as a person from barcelona, i feel almost insulted that you included no clip of catalan whatsoever. you could've educated thousands of people on the native language of barcelona, which has been catalan for centuries, rather than just pointing out to the catalan national conflict (which typically just worsens everyone's opinion about catalan and leaves little space to thought about what catalan signifies to us and how language, identity and politics correlate). thank you for appreciating our city, though
Learn as many languages as you can. It is possible through Immersive translate. I have been able to learn two different languages and it has been such a beautiful experience.
2:24 Can’t help it but the interaction with the Czech woman is just like a beginning of a movie from Public Agent production. Anybody here got the same vibe?
