Leila is really such a sweetie, she is caring and helpful and acts as a cheerleader just by providing this information. To have the patience to give of yourself is really amazing. She's tough and realistic while still being understanding.

Yes!; this framework helps to keep my biases in check. The uniqueness of your goods and services are important but they aren’t stagnant. A machine by any other name is still a machine.
But the job was taking her away from her husband. A job is not a life commitment like a spouse or kids. Sounds like a person with great value. Her time with her family was more valuable than money. Imagine that?

A liddo recap: Individuals who cry, get angry, and shut down instead of articulating what they need are demonstrating this to get what they want. It may be attention they seek or it's a form of manipulation. It may be unconsciously or not. However, some individuals do not understand the skills needed to convey their needs or wants appropriately. If this isn't resolved, this can cause issues with employees, friends, family, and romantic relationships. Essentially, if someone is using a negative behavior when they are upset or uncomfortable about something, then not responding to their behavior will prompt them to use other skills hence using their words to articulate the issue. It's appropriate to respond to people when they use their words and not their negative behaviors or emotions. *Example* Martha is cold, distant, and, closed off. Instead of spending time trying to crack her emotional and behavioral code because she isn't articulating what the problem is, you can prompt them. By prompting them, you are essentially drawing information out of them. She may come to you at another time to explain the issue. In this case, you're able to help. On the other hand, if you stayed to crack Martha's emotional and behavioral code then you have successfully trained her and established that you and others will always play the guessing game and find out what's going on next time.
Who you let in your life is the most important factor in your success at anything second only to your ambition and accomplishments. Best to only let in supporters and people who truly want the best for you and make your life better. Second best is to be on alone until / unless you can attract those people (or you are able to bring value into their lives too).
