I won an entry from my employer this year. Unfortunately, they didn't notify me until late July. I only have 12 weeks to build, not 18. I'm going to run this at a tourist's pace. 🤣It seems like the corral area isn't too crowded for the later starts. I am a cold weather runner. I'm hoping for 30's or 40's!
Thanks for the video. I'm wondering how would you know if you're going the right pace in order to not get kicked out?? I'm a bit confused about that. Do you go by your goal finish time?? If so, how do they know if you're going the right pace.
Was only able to do the first part of this today because I have zero room for my mat in my workout area right now. Hopefully the next time i do this video, I will have a little more room. Loved all the combos for the moves! ❤
This one was packed with lots of moves! I loved it. ❤ definitely like when you talk about functional strength. I started my new job at the library in January and I want to make sure I am capable of hauling books!
Loved it overall! Was feeling good after the weights, liked the combo movements we did. Man the core work killed me (it always does!) Doing strength training more seriously from now until June and really hope to see my core strength improve the most.
I love the new DS cargo pants….I bought 3 pair….not the bone because I have them in the original DS but I still want them….totally different look. I’m wearing mine now! Great haul….thanks for sharing.
Dear, I saw your RU-vid channel video and understood it was Very nice. I want to be a regular viewer of your channel. But your channel has something, I want to show the problems. You have 1.5K subscribers but the video doesn't get more views and subscribers because your video is not SEO. It is responsible for: 1. Channel videos are not properly SEO 2. Videos are not reaching the people 3. There is no rank tag in the Video 4. Video SEO score is 00 out of 100 but SEO score should be 95+ to rank video 5. Channel tag not good 6. There is no video tag
Hello. I am running Tokyo Marathon 2024 and was wondering whether the race timing is still Gun to Mat? Or if they use chips on their bibs and it would now be Mat to Mat.
So happy I came across your video. My husband just retired in June last year 20 years USMC and he’s running it with his buddy from boot camp/deployments. We are SO excited for him! I was wondering, any advice on where to stay as far as distance to the race? After registering we were given a list of hotels that are participating with discounts. As a family we want to be able to see him start and finish. Any suggestions on how best to do that? I wonder if we stay “too far” traffic ect might be bad. We don’t want to miss seeing him. Thank you in advance!! 😊💕
Love this! Just perfect for me this week! I have been baaaad since completing my Santiago hike. Gotta get back into a regular routine again. This is perfect!! ❤️
I ran in the 2012 hurricane race as well, and I just went back for 2023. Unfortunately, 2023 was very humid to start and then it got pretty warm later in the morning. Many runners didn't finish (I barely made it myself). If you have any doubts about the weather, I would bring a bottle or belt with you - there's plenty of water stops, but better safe than sorry. They have a water stop on the mile 20 bridge now, but it's only to refill bottles (no cups), so you can get an extra water stop if you have your own bottle. Other than that, your course advice is still pretty much spot on. I would add that the course is really crowded for about the first 4 miles - you start on 4 highway lanes, but it gets narrowed down in Roslyn, so it's like a funnel. Try not to stress out about this though - it will force you to conserve energy early (which you'll appreciate later). In good weather, this is a negative split course.
Thank you for this workout, Marcia. I read that studies show eccentric WOs are more effective for muscle growth. I haven’t strength trained for a couple months and before that I had been workout out in a gym with “regular,” non-eccentric movement. During that whole time, lifting pretty heavy, my muscles never quivered and fatigued like they did with this workout. And, I didn’t see any increase in muscle mass. Lunges are my bugaboo. I had to pause and lower my heart rate before continuing. Whew. I would love to see more eccentric workouts! 😊
I never said pace was not important, but it’s not everything. Many runners I coach obsess and judge every run by pace, when there other factors to consider.
I ❤️ your workouts!!! I used to despise strength training (3 sets of 25, yuk!!!). Your workouts keep me from getting bored and not having to count reps or sets keeps me focused on how my body is moving, not “how many more til I can quit????” 🤣 You’ve actually made me love curtsy lunges!! ❤️Thanks Coach Marcia!!
