Amazing guitar work! I have a question about the ACC 164 that I hope you can help me with. Is it ok to switch between Tubes and FETs when the amp is powered on?
I didn't know it was possible to play arpeggios faster than Pat Metheny, yet I stand corrected. Seriously folks - I'm here looking into this cool guitar model, very surprised to find they were made in Japan - because I just restored a broken Squier "Showmaster" with the reversed headstock, no pickguard with 3 pickups mounted direct to body - lighter weight and rich tone. The tremolo was missing, body cracked a bit, so I just made a block of maple to fill it in and turned it into a string thru body; even lighter, richer tone and more sustain. Chords SHIMMER. At my age, 66, I have slowed down and just like to play/hear chords ring, sustain and shimmer. A Helle-tele-showmaster-caster? Yep.

Cant understand why anyone would sell one these guitars , they have so much quality even with the standad pick ups. i would say to anyone to give this a try , it looks the part and sounds great.

I think the single coil pickups are original, but the humbucker is a Seymour Duncan. Not sure about the model, but If I remember correctly I believe it's a Pearly Gates. It hasn't got any markings on it though, so I'm not 100% sure. I replaced the pickups with EMGs, Steve Lukather, which you can hear on another video!
