Jamming to a funky blues jam track

Hello. This just me jamming to a Johnny Winter style jam track... The guitar is a Parker Fly Classic, don't know what year it was manufactured. Recording through a Pod XT Live straight into the computer, mixing it in Cubase, editing the video in Pinnacle Studio 10, where I also mix the sound from the camera with the mp3 I did in Cubase.
Sorry about the sloppy speed picking, but it isn't my fault that the jam track has that fast tempo... hehehe!

That Pod XT Live really captures cab sounds and amp tones really well!! I have a cheap 75 Watt Spider III that i use live because it really sounds impressive for recreating other amp sounds, and I'm also miced into a PA system so it is ballsy, but I really love your sound man!!

Så där har jag kännt en hel del också det vore kul att spela in nåt utan att göra en enda tabbe, men vafan lathet, och folk på youtube tycker ändå att man är king trots att man tabbar sig här och där, hehe. Nightlydruid you know he is a Swede, and in Sweden we have a blues style called "yngwie blues" if you didn't know that, now you know! ;)

Frippan är sedan ett antal år tillbaka för det mesta 3 mm av praktiska skäl. Jag är inte skallig, men orkar inte med långt barr längre. Så klart att jag var små off emellanåt, det är ju improviserat, även om jag minns att jag hade ett A4 med en punktlista, typ "tapping", "svajarm" osv, bara för att jag skulle gå igenom typ alla tekniker jag kunde. Så här i efterhand så var det faktiskt ett smart drag, haha! SKÅL!

Technically excellent... think the soul may be lost somewhere down the way.. if the blues becomes maths then the world is fucked.. Not a diss, your tone is amazing and your melodies are clever, but it just seems like you have shoehorned a lot of technique in there

I totally agree! But I think that was the whole purpose behind this particular video. If you watch closely, you can see me reading something on an A4 and that was actually just different words like "country bends" "whammy bar" "tapping" and so on, just to keep the flow going. So your observation is accurate! And... yes, you should take some breaks, let some air in the music, let the listener have some time to think about the notes that you're actually playing, bring out the soul, i agree! Take care! :)
