Hey folks!
Got a little bit of a hangover today, so to punish myself, I decided to record this video.
As always when I sit in front of the camera, I tend to get a bit nervous... so there are some flaws... and funny faces! Hahaha!
The guitar is a 1997 Fender John Jorgenson Hellecaster. It's "Crafted in Japan", limited edition. My guitar is #0253 of 4 or 500 - no one knows exactly how many that were made.
This is one of the guitars that Fender Japan made to the guys in the band "The Hellecasters". I got the Jerry Donahue Stratocaster too. The only one I miss now is the Will Ray Jazz-A-Caster which would be fun to have to make the collection complete.
Anyway, the guitar is recorded through my Line6 Pod XT live and if you'd like the preset it can be downloaded from here:
forssy.se/forsm...
This preset is called "Yngwie HS-3.l6t".
Yeah... the STOMP is disengaged in this video, just to make the sound a bit more clean.
I won't share the BT, so don't bother asking me! ;)
Okay, hope you'll enjoy this video of me improvising a little too fast for my own good! Hehe!
Later!! /Fredric
Kyss mig i röven som man säger i Svedala! :)

Once you master a piece like this and can play this good , you become your own therapist, with your bleeding sounds, being the medicine to your troubled soul. The boy is telling the news here on his guitar. Giving us all some medicine we need. Highly talented.

I like the way you played this song, gives it the more Bluesy shred feeling that Yngwie was meaning to put into this song's composition

Maybe it's because of the fact that it has such a different sound from other Fenders and that split coil that allows so much room...maybe that's the reason why I like it so much. I'm a Gibson guy if that tells you what an impact this guitar made on me.

Thanks! I don't agree about the vibrato though, but this guitar certainly has a great tone. I also notice that I'm stressed about filming this video. But it was in a very stressed period of my life so that explains it. Glad you like it!

I didn't know it was possible to play arpeggios faster than Pat Metheny, yet I stand corrected. Seriously folks - I'm here looking into this cool guitar model, very surprised to find they were made in Japan - because I just restored a broken Squier "Showmaster" with the reversed headstock, no pickguard with 3 pickups mounted direct to body - lighter weight and rich tone. The tremolo was missing, body cracked a bit, so I just made a block of maple to fill it in and turned it into a string thru body; even lighter, richer tone and more sustain. Chords SHIMMER. At my age, 66, I have slowed down and just like to play/hear chords ring, sustain and shimmer. A Helle-tele-showmaster-caster? Yep.

Haha, tjena bakfulleyng-väj! Grymt ju! Du kör ju lite Yngwie style ändå i ditt lir rent generellt tycker jag. Mycket "medleymedleymedleymeee!!!" Licks i ditt gitarrlir alltså. Lirar iförsig mer legato än picking kanske, men sålänge det låter bra så. ROCK ON

Actually the guitar player that is in my band, he has one....My Les Paul custom sounds just like it because of the way i have my pickups installed and wired, that was totally by accident. I'll make a video of us jamming sometime soon.

Your sound is a very clean distortion and you play that cleaner than Ingwie does. Sound of an Amp is very important. What are you using for an amp with this song and what effect. What are the pickups in that strat.. The amp has a lot to do with speed if it sustains enough with the right amount of distortion, but not to much. Amps make you play faster if the sound is right and smoother. It sounds like your Guitar is playing it self with out much effort

I was 35 yo at the time recording this and start playing at the age of 7. What you need to know is that the guitar was my way of dealing with difficult times, so of course that had an impact of the way I play the guitar. I'm 48 yo now and don't play the guitar that often anymore, but I still enjoy doing it from time to time. Thanks!
