Barnes is a nice guy but Celtic is no place to start a management career. Glasgow is a goldfish bowl. You'd struggle to find any group of people who care more about football. He did buy Petrov, I suppose.
He should be called up for national service. However, not being in football spotlight and enjoying life and playing with whitecaps is understandable. Work life balance.
First time watching one of your posts. How refreshing. Direct information, quick & concise. The pace of your commentary is spot on. Question. Was it Barnes or the players???
Don’t feel sorry for him in anyway biggest rat to ever grace the game First to dish it out but first to crack when he gets it back at him he had all the talent in the world too and a wand of a left foot but karma got him good and rightly so and I’m a rangers fan
Fergie got rid of Stam, it was not long after that Stam was drug tested and found to be taking performance enhancing steriods, I think he was banned from playing football for around 9 months or so. I always wonder if Ferguson knew that that was going to happen and that's why he got rid of him, as unlike the others, who had all quite publicly got too big for thier (United) boots I don't think Stam had.
I remember the hype around him when he arrived here. Too much pressure on him for no reason, he was/is an average player and way too skinny and weak, his biggest handicap. But I wish him the best, he seems a humble and good guy and i'm happy he maanaged to put his carreer back on tracks.
I blame Neil Lennon for Demebele's failure. I know Forest got into the team due to Lennon originally, but he was always hopeless too when Lennon was there. 5 years of his career wasted. Most overrated manager in the history of Scottish football really.
@@shugmchugh5107 Let's not forget his pluggy pal Anthony Stokes It really takes an idiot to win the "life lottery" of becoming a top level professional footballer to then wind up in jail.
I remember when United and City were both trying to sign him. Sadly, like many others, he fell for the lie of the City academy. Like Gazza going to Spurs instead, what might have been. It's great to see him playing, he's a player who you just enjoy watching, who's football brain is far ahead of most around him
No matter how good a player you are. To sign for any team under pullis. Any skill or flair would soon be lost due to his style of kick and run football
People scoff at the thought of Roberts back to Celtic not realizing that one U21s match he played for us before joining the first team squad was one of the shrewdest moves we could have done. He is, under UEFA Guidelines officially a Homegrown registerable player for Celtic at both club, and country.
I remember ange said in an interview he had the chance to sign Roberts but opted not to as he felt he lacked the desire required which is a shame luved him at celtic
I tend to trust big Ange's judgement, so perhaps he had a point - would still take him back though, i reckon Brendan rodgers could do something similar with him that he did with Sinclair back in the day.
Was only 11-12 when he left for Dortmund i remember it but was only focused on Rangers at that point. My old man always said their would've been uproar if he had been the main signing for either old firm at that point. Shouldve told us something about trusting our own. Remember Motherwell playing Dortmund in early uefa cup, mustve impressed hitzveld. (Spelling looks wrong). Shows how the game has changed quite drastically
He help contribute to the death of original rangers in 2012 with their tax avoidance scheme as event now they are playing on the same platform as celtic they are miles off us now they can't hide players wagers and rip off ever tax paying person in the UK scum of a club
".......we lost in the right way, apart from the 2 bad goals we gave away, particularly the 2nd one with the basic error......" Dear oh dear. That quote says all you need to know about John's managerial prowess 😂
