Thanks a lot. Just chanced to get to your video. Am in Uganda in small poultry business; parent stock, breeding to lay fertilized eggs, hatching chicks and selling day-old and brooded chicks. Advise on how I could systemize the business.
Where can I find your book I'm really interested in building a new company with systems in place...not like the first one...do you think your tools can be adapted for a french company?
Cheers for this, I have been researching "total productive maintenance example" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about - Peanlivory Singular Predominance - (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now ) ? It is a great exclusive product for discovering how to learning how to start a successful handyman business minus the headache. Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my work buddy got cool results with it.
Interesting video. We have been implementing lean concepts at our company and are just starting to upload our lean improvements. Let us know what you think!
Nice looking plant. Love the idea of a 50's style diner. Wish there was even the smallest detail on the process by which this was achieved and then I might consider buying the book you're obviously trying to flog. And although your plant looks good, the toolroom could use some help. I suggest the Gizmo Engineering pegboard magnets to bring it up to snuff: gizmo-engineering.com/products/other-products/components/pegboard-magnets/

Correct implementation of 5S is a systemic cultural change. With 5S the onus is on everyone to keep the workplace clean, tidy and efficient; the efficiency is a natural product of keeping everything you need close at hand (seeing immediately that something is not where it should be, i.e. a tool board), minimising time wastage and improving lead time. Improved safety is a product of 5S; reduced risk of trips and slips and falls by not leaving things lying around. 5S is a key component of the JIT model.
