You should try fixing the 2 sheets together with a continuous hinge so you can fold them together, and they won't come apart. Also, the carpet should be enough if you folded it over the edges so the noodles probably wouldn't be needed. Great video.
I’m working on either a hinge or some kind of steel bracket to better join the two pieces of floor. I have modified the edges of the floor with great stuff expanding foam! I show that in my latest video for this boat. You can watch it here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-NKCrn6CCoGU.htmlsi=G0zL7wWS7nxJVZLS
I don't have a swamp cooler but found this video very useful. 8:00 Step 2 should have been to use The Works Toilet Bowl Cleaner. It eats rust fast. Will leave it very clean in anywhere from 3 seconds to 3 min. Use a plastic pan under just in case there are holes. I will make a frame of 2x4 and use either plastic from a roll or cut a contractor bag, for large items. For long items I have various sizes of PVC with just a cap on one end. Some I have a clean-out adapter on the other end. Then a male adapter on another section of PVC with another clean-out adapter on the other end. So 2' base, then 2' extender, 1' extender, or 6" extender. Don not cap the end and seal. There are gasses that are barely noticeable when doing this outside in open air but they are there. Wear glasses if brushing off. A face shield would be good too. I tend to just rinse off with hose. When brushing off is needed, I wear mask and glasses min.
52.5db to 49db is not really worth it. I measured my Preditor 5,000 watt generator at 1 foot, and the db was 87db, not the 60db that Harbor Freight claims. They would not post my review. I have used db meters for years in aviation for aircraft p.a. checks and adjustments.
I have a question I'm wanting to bend a 3" 5' pvc pipe and I capped both ends already is it dangerous for me to use a heat gun just enough for me to Bend it a few inches 😅 I'm thinking not and probably need to jist buy new pipes but hopefully not
I inherited my Dad's Weber Q2200 when he passed away awhile back and the flame was really weak when I broke it out for the first time this year. Thanks so much for the detailed repair?
Awesome video! Super helpful! Random question though. And sorry if it’s long. But I have a swamp cooler on my roof and a bolt on one side of the motor mount bracket thing broke off so is pretty much relying on one side. And keeps getting loose so the belt isn’t tight enough. Would a JB weld on the broken side to replace the bolt and keep it from moving be a viable fix? Or should I just try and punch out the bolt and replace it instead?
I would try to replace that bolt. There are various bolt extractors out there. I think JB weld has its place but on something like this, probably not. Good luck with your project and thanks for watching!
Wonder what if you double up on the foam make it 4in thick and make the hallway a bit longer and add a 2 foot pipe outward as exhaust if youd get diff results. I have a trip coming up gunna give it a try
Cool magnet tip! My mouse must be older than yours - it only has ONE screw holding the whole platten on! I need to know what glue to use to attach the pad to the base. It’s hot here in AZ & glues & tapes don’t last as well… Appreciate any help you can offer. Thanks, Christie B
I have made a few videos for this build including a how-to video. RU-vid will not let me put links here in the comments, but if you look on my channel, you will find them.
One thing I can see is if you can relieve the air up high instead of out the garage door low, because hot air rises. they sell vents that go in the ceiling that open up when the cooler is on, and it helps cool the attic.
@@MrFredsDIY working on this today. When I took the valve apart I noticed we didn’t have the little mini circular piece that you have at the very bottom center. Could that be an issue?
@@slashedbeautythere should be a diagram of all of the parts you are supposed to have in your manual or even on the lid of your unit. Make sure that you put it back together according to the diagram. If you are missing parts, it will probably be an issue. In the video you will notice that my entire valve assembly had a part number and is offered as a replacement part. It is likely that you can purchase an entirely new valve if necessary. Good luck with your project!
The inner sleeve is called a sintered bronze bearing. The material is porous. This allows 20w oil to sweat through and lubricate the shaft. But you have to open the little caps and add oil periodically. If you let it go dry, not only is the bearing ruined, the shaft can also be ruined. Keep the bearings oiled and you will not face this or need a puller to get the bearing off.
