I didn't realize this until now but Toro Rosso sure had a thing for having drivers with variations on the name "Sebastian". Buemi joined the team the following year.
I'll take the "Schumacher wanted to repay the gesture," explanation for USA 2002. It ended up closer than he intended and it might have failed the way he tried to do it but I do think he wanted to give Barichello a legitimate victory (given the way the they conducted themselves during the Austrian podium after all the audience fallout).
James Hunt never forgave Patrese for the Peterson crash. During his commentary career he would always start ranting if Patrese's name came up. Though as far as I can tell he never really did anything. It wasn't really his doing but Hunt just kept doubling down on his dislike of Patrese.
Do you have any information about the Nissan GTR incident in the Nurburgring ? ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8MS4RbJ_tEU.html&pp=ygURbmlzc2FuIGd0ciBmbHlpbmc%3D
It seems both the navigator and the driver enjoyed their run of the green hell. and I can take one thing I always wondered about from my list. Thank you
Damn, THAT was pure endurance racing. No complex regulation, no penalties, no BOP, no double grids between the spectators and the track. The fans could feel the speed, smell the race !
My heart wants Lamborghini to win le mans this year for the first time ever, but my head says Porsche and Ferrari are the favourites for the win this year.
WILL BUXTON, Your viewpoints, your interjections, the moments that you capture of everything....is the pinnacle of Racing Journalism!!! I feel guilty for calling you a Journalist, because you represent so much more than JUST a Journalist. I miss your F1 grid walks (I wish they would bring you back), you always grabbed to best piece, comment or viewpoint for the rest of not so fortunate to be on the grid, as you were. Please keep your fire, your thirst, your perspective and love of what you do, IT TRULY SHOWS!!! Your rapport with the "Circuit" people is so admirable!! If it ever escapes you, please take care of yourself and go on the next chapter (heat) in your life. But for now, Your work is STELLAR, sorry to go over board, you ROCK the reporting world of racing, IMO. Cheers, Slainte and Salud to you Will!! Thank you!!
My favourite ferrari car in the Schumacher era was the 2002 car the red livery that year was very bright that made the white pop and when the Marlboro sponsor was on the car stood out and made it look amazing, they always say if a car looks right it usually is and 2002/3/4 ferrari looked like a winner when it was stood still
Great production. Thank you for sharing this. However, some of the music in the background is a bit overpowering during the interviews. Nonetheless epic video. Thank you.
If Ocon doesn’t get a seat in F1 2025 he should have a go at this he’ll find peace with a new category and be able to leave his frustrations behind and have some fun. Granted he behaves himself 🤣 it’s a long race.
F1 needs to get away from this hybrid era and return to high performance ICE. They can keep all thier virtue signalling for Formula E if they want to showcase battery tech. F1 should be about racing, driver skill and performance !
45:30: It is Wednesday mid day in the US. The weather forecasts right now for LeMans are for possible rain on Saturday and a very likely chance of rain, including thunderstorms, on Sunday. This is from BBC and also Accu Weather in the US.
I think way too much attention is being paid to the Test Day as a barometer for the race in this presentation. There are still FOUR free practices and qualifying before the race. THEN we all will have a better read on who is where. Come back to us on Friday and then you will have something to talk about.
In my opinion, F1 cars need to get shorter. They have gotten to long over the years and makes overtaking in places like Monoco nearly impossible. Not to mention, ascetically unpleasing.
