Ac2s mission is fairly easy to 100% you dont go for the flag itself on the third one you cut off and tackle the runner before they get back to their base.
I enjoyed those missions on assassin's Creed Valhalla because they had a bit of a story to them and not only you had to have a brain to figure them out but you also had to be patient
Yasuke was not a samurai. He was a retainer! Ubisoft trying to rewrite history on a character that was so incredibly irrelevant and unknown making him a black samurai for DEI and ESG scores. Not to mention the outrageously overpriced pre order editions. F*ck this game and Ubisoft. Also the game requires online to even download and play despite games like FF7R being completely playable off the disk (2 DISKS BTW) without updates or patches. Yes i tested this myself and played through the story without issue. Ubisoft can go under for all i care! They literally want you to be comfortable not owning your games. The online requirements for download means you are essentially pulling the game off the servers. Most games ARE NOT LIKE THIS. Hense why i mentioned FF7R having 2 DISKS. "U will own nothing and be happy" has never been more apparent than it is now.
Once i saw that rpg slip and slide, and big ass enemies in Origins, i didnt bother getting it. And that was the end of my journey with assassins creed. Origins is NOT assassins creed combat wise. Reactions and feedback or lack of in enemies in Origins made it look so damn unrealistic
Beautiful game but it is in no way underrated. The two things that kept me from ever finishing it were the incredible grind that completely halted the progress I was making and the good time I was having during the opening hours, I just got sick of chasing sidequests (or be forced to pay money for boosters) to progress in the main story that actually interested me, and the fact that the story was finished in a paid DLC. Absolute all-time low in scummy gamedesign and that is also what made me completely lose any interest in Ubisoft because I know even if they made a great game they would screw it up somehow. They could make a game of the year as for now and I wouldn't care
Greed. Greed happend. Instead of changing the franchise name and rebranding they take the gameplay and change that and keep the name cause they are too afraid of taking risks. A billion dollar corporation afraid to take risks.. how sad..🙄 Afterall they took risks and thats how AC was born. Thats the ubisoft that ill always remember. Not the garbage they have become. AC died the minute the original creator and mind behind the original story left. Yes there have been decent games since he left after AC3 i think. But the heart and soul of the franchise is long gone. Not to mention Desmond miles being killed off..🙄😡
They lost me after AC2; story in the modern days started to make no sense; and it just became the yearly "let's roleplay to be in a different time" game. Black flag has been the crown jewel of that style of AC games, so I would say that there are 3 different "types" of AC games: the first 3 games are a trilogy, then you have the let's pretend it is a different time games, of which black flag was the best, and then the modern RPGs of which Odyssey is the best one so far.
My favorite game genre is JRPGS. Valhalla's game length is right up my alley and is actually one of my favorites in the series. I love long 100+ hr games. I never found it boring either.
Those pictures of warships with stripes are all real photos before radar was useful/accurate this was used to obscure warships. Don't ask me about the science someone will come along and fill in what I can't remember. Marijuana is a memory loss drug. - Jim Halpert
Love the video but I can't believe Valhalla is 13th, there was an enormous variety in the landscapes and it felt far less empty than Odyssey IMO. Especially when you then get Norway, Vinland, and more in DLC as well. Sometimes I wonder if Valhalla gets put last by the fanbase just cos of groupthink, like it's a running joke at this point or something.
While unity looks nice one of the biggest things about the parkour of assassins creed is how to make sure you plan correcty for maximum efficiency. The early ac games punished you for not looking ahead for movement which allows you to feel badass when you did move properly. One of the downsides for revelations was that the hookblade had too much forgiveness for mistakes. I did like the speed it provided but allowed me to turn off my brain alittle too much.
i know people don't like odyssey as much but it and origins are some of my fav games ever, mostly because of the settings. ancient egypt and classical greece are such great places to set a story and the maps they designed are so beautiful and really inspired me to
I liked the bounty hunter system in Odyssey along with hunting down the order. But i liked Valhalla too. You felt more bulky in that game and less reliant on stealth. In Odyssey I would clear everything with stealth and avoid open combat but Valhalla made going in swinging more fun so i would sneak in and inevitably get discovered. I hope in shadows the bring the bounty hunter system along with the order clues, always fun hunting down those guys
3 real life fun facts about the Mars Pistol: 1. It was designed in 1890, so 32 years after the game takes place. 2. It is chambered in .45, same caliber as the famous M1911 pistol. 3. It's recoil is that high, that it was rejectet by the british army. Nobody that fired it once, wanted to fire it again.
The British military kept sending the gun back to its creator multiple times to fix it, he kept refusing. No surprise that his company went under soon after.
My ranking (I have not played any games after Origins, so I cannot rank them): 11. Brotherhood 10. Rogue 9. Liberation 8. Revelations 7. 3 6. 1 5. Origins 4. 2 3. Syndicate 2. Unity 1. Black Flag I put Origins so far back because I do not really like the non-urban areas. I also disliked the RPG elements added to Origins which is another reason why it is lower (and I know that this is a gameplay element rather than the map, but a map will be created for the game's genre, and I dislike how most RPG maps are made). I also felt like a lot of the map began to feel the same. 1 is high because of Damascus.
I’m probably one of the only few here but I have to say odyssey it’s one of the most stunning and beautiful games I’ve ever played and I absolutely loved the story
Valhalla is either loved or hated, I genuinely am shocked that it’s so low, let alone not in the top 5. It is absolutely stunning, and tbf is far from a traditional AC setting, but that broodish mood is exactly what I was wanting.
3 isnt a replayable one for me, it just drags on and on and on with barely any action until finally connor becomes an assassin And i disagree with rogue, its shortness is what makes it easily to replay, you jump straight into the action, instead of going through the teadeous ac3 intro
Altair: >Lost his mother at his birth >Lost his father because of a traitor >Lost his wife with his own hand >Lost his youngest son (?) from the son of his father's traitor >Died alone, shutting himself away And yet people dare tell me he was the boring one
"do you even care about AC anymore?" Nope. Not ever since I wasted money on Valhalla and gave up due to boredom after about ten hours, after being on the fence about it in the first place. And I played AC beginning in 2008.
I’ve always found the parkour to be the weakest part of AC games. The amount of times I’ve tried to jump off things only to get caught on other things is truly frustrating.
My favourite recent "AC game" is not even a part of the AC series. It's called ghost of Tsushima and I love it. It is a message to Ubisoft "look, we can make better AC games than you"
How could you leave off the legendary Grandmaster Laureano de Torres y Ayala a Duadros Castellanos??? /s Jack the Ripper and Juhani Berg probably should’ve been honorable mentions. Daniel Cross and Juno for most disappointing villains. Both hyped up as serious threats. One has a mental breakdown that made him trivial and the other is effectively completely defeated offscreen.
Wow thanks for that ranking. I thought it was really cool and different from other rankings I've seen out there. If I may, my ranking would be: - Ezio trilogy (I like to think of them as one big game. I know, it's not worth it, but they're my favorites 😅) - AC3 - Origins - Black Flag - Unity - Mirage - Odyssey - Syndicate - AC1 - Rogue - Valhalla
