Welcome! My name is David, friends call me by my service callsign, Shaker... This channel will include cooking on my Ugly Drum Smoker, Cord-Cutting (ditching TV service providers), backpacking, a sprinkling of cast iron cooking and Jeep maintenance. Yeah, it's a lot... but I hope you find something that will help or inspire you.
My girl.I was on the helm.I unknowing put her in the box then GQ was called. Was part of the aft fire team (GQ), but got to watch from the aft.I'll never forget this night.
Im having the same issue on my 2013 grand cherokee. I tried doing all steps by when I type my VIN is tells me that there’s no new updates 😢 now what can I do ?
Thank you, Amazing video. My mom just purchased a 2013 wrangler sahara unlimited and i decided to check on the website if there was an update and there is. im going to follow this video and install it tomorrow.
Hi, do you know how to hard reset a 2018 jeep wrangler jk radio the one with navigation, in order to flash it. I installed a back up camera, not OEM, and can not find how to make it work.
@@rudyhernandez8446 check the fuses, there is one for the jeep #67 for the CD/DVD/Bluetooth Hands-free Module - hopefully this is it. you'll need to get it looked at.
I went to the UConnect site to check if i needed to update my software after putting my car vin number it told me my software was up to date so IDK what to do. Someone mentioned it could be my battery but I put a new battery in this past summer and I had no problems. All was good until January 1st. Do you think that had something to do with everything disappearing?
This sounds incredibly annoying. What battery did you replace, in your Jeep or in the key fob? It could be the fob battery, as in my experience, and it'd be the cheapest / easiest to test. If that doesn't work, I've "heard" that you can disconnect your car battery for like 30mins and then reconnected it to sort of "reset" the electronics. I have no idea if this is legit, but also worth a try maybe?
@@wandacarner4683 nope. nothing should be in or around the glove box that would affect your navigation, from factory anyway. if your navigation is messing up, and your settings are not sticking - it could be your radio is actually mechanically failing and would need to be replaced. :(
I had the same thing happen to me once, turned out I had replaced my fob and these settings were stored in my key fob... meaning when i used my key fob, the jeep knew it was me and set the seat, radio and phone pairing to my personal settings. This may not be your situation, but something to consider perhaps?
My uconnect Bluetooth isn’t working… I have a 2011 jeep grand Cherokee it’s so aggravating. Everything else is working perfectly fine(radio, camera , etc) . Any recommendations???
X pipes are garbage. Its a trick of the week item to increase cost for system and muffler shop + pain in the ass connection. The car that I used it on had disgusting exhaust sound. Use (2) bullet mufflers w/good internal sound dampening w/2 Ultraflows, no crappy X-pipe. Result: deep smooth sound a smidge above stock. Its not a race truck dude.
I'm in the Process of installing 240 Mil in my Jeep now. Deadening works. I did 160 Mil in my Impala and had very small amounts of rattle and my music sounded way better.
YA, I started putting a little dielectric in the spark plug boot when installing the. It helps them slide on and off and also helps prevent water intrusion. I need to change my plugs too and I was shocked when you said 2 per cylinder.
I know this is an old video, but looking to do something similar with the Wyze Garage Door Controller. I'm a noob at this and was wondering if there was a fool proof way to know the which contact points to solder the wires to? There looks to be four solder point on the back of the board for the one button.
Appreciate the time you took to explain and make this video. I plan to get a dashcam installed for my JGC soon and will point this out to the installer.
Great job with the video man very detailed. I had your video playing on the bench while I was installing my K&N on my 2011 jeep grand Cherokee and you helped a lot! Very much appreciated
I followed this to the letter, it got me a "PND did not update" error message. Its become too tiring to deal with. But thanks for the video. I got close, lol.
