People today are easily offended and can’t handle rebuke from the pulpit so the pastors to keep membership up, they are forced to preach, no, I meant speak kindly, messages that don’t offend them.
Pastors are leaving in droves because, In addition to all of what was mentioned, They also have to fight the ridiculous political, people pleasing, non biblical policies of "The Machine"
Thank you for sharing your heart on this. It is challenging for everyone to navigate the cultural climate. Pastors struggle too. We cause hurt, and oftentimes hurts and fears are projected upon us. A key is moving out of isolation and into circles of wise, compassionate help and encouragement. Blessings!
Yes! Waking up spiritually, emotionally, and relationally is something I need to do every day. Leadership isn’t just about strategies and decisions; it’s more significantly about how well I manage my inner world.
Thank you so much for watching. I really appreciate your encouragement. I plan to make more videos (and continue to include Warbonnet Hammocks) - and hope they will be helpful.
@@mattkessler-revelo I got my first compass when i was 12 or 13 from my brother a forester by trade. At 16 i joined CAN CADET CORP my most detailed training, then in mid 20s, maritime navigation. I still have that first Silva compass its 50 years old now.
Thank you Matt and @Revelo drawing out the best in our marriages, focusing us on the good, and calling us up to better love in our marriages! Keep it coming!!
Yes. Thanks for reminding me. I’m so grateful for the four different spiritual directors the Lord has used to draw me into deeper union with Him. I wish every pastor would try spiritual direction.
It's interesting how most of the things people say that the Bible says about money, has nothing to do with money. There's no such thing as a biblical tithe received from earned wages. Every biblically commanded tithe was either through the tithe of the land or tithe of the herd under Mosaic Law. All from within Israel. None of it was money. The best way to inspire people is to tell the truth. To do that you have to know the truth. To do that you have to interpret scripture in hermeneutic context. Giving from gratitude will go much further than binding people's minds with guilt.
I’m glad it was helpful for you and your leadership in the church. Keep praying and looking! “Ask, seek, knock” …. your Father has good things for you.
Yes! Relationally healthy pastors strengthen relationally healthy churches. Relationally healthy churches lead others into relational health with God and one another. Help us Lord!
It’s never too late! I’m with you. Let’s keep learning and keep acting on the things that move us closer to God and closer to loving others as God loves us. 🙌
