I also live in a master planned community. I moved here completely by circumstance, because my boyfriend got accepted into a medical school that is the center of a master planned community. Neither of us knew these kinds of places existed in America before we moved here. It has been absolutely amazing, totally life changing. Being able to WALK to the bank, the grocery store, coffee shop, fine dining, boutiques, etc. from our townhome while living in a seemingly rural city is amazing. It makes you realize how much time you waste driving in your car getting from location to location.
I’ve been watching your videos for about I guess 2 years now. You’ve gotten me super interested in relocating to the Greenville area after retirement. So I finally took my first trip to Greenville last week. My daughter and I were only there for a couple of days, because it was a short part of a longer road trip, but I was super excited because I already knew the places I wanted to visit because of your videos. It was so cool that I didn’t have to ask anybody where to go and it was exciting to actually go in real life to the places I saw in your videos. We only saw a small part of it, but I can’t wait to go back to see more. I’m working on getting my daughter to consider relocating there. I was happy that she was very impressed. So fingers crossed that she might actually consider relocating with me. Thank you so much for your very informative videos. 🙏💖😊
I liked Easley. The main selling point is the value. Homes are less expensive so you either get more house, or lower payments. Other nearby towns like Travelers Rest are prettier to my eye but much more expensive. Nothing is free, it depends on what you want to pay for.
just don't anger the police. otherwise pickens is a wonderful place to live ! beautiful county , lake and mountain country . only problem is that Pickens is getting too big, the bigger a town gets the worse it gets. we want it to stay small.. most of us anyway. the big wheels hungry for money want the growth , witch is not good for a peaceful town..
@@aubree_lewis I was born in Tennessee. I grew up in South Carolina. I currently live in North Carolina just up near the Asheville area. So I know Greenville decently well. My daughter and her husband are school teachers down in Anderson. My mother's family is from the hills of East Kentucky...waaaay back in the hills. She actually grew up not far from where Loretta Lynn grew up. We are related to them in some way or another. So this kind of stuff is funny to me.
My husband is applying to an apartment complex out there Station 153 he worked for the owners Morgan Properties back in Pa. We moved to Allsbrook SC back in 2016 to be near my dad but now he’s gone and my husband can’t find the kind of job he had with them. I’m excited to discover new things and places living in Allsbrook/Loris is boring and going to Conway/ Myrtle Beach is so crowded but fun but tired of the driving to get to everything. Do you think it’s worth it?
What about Infrastructure..Building destroying what we love..They are taking the Green out of Greenville..It is getting hotter and hotter. Growth is a necessary evil but planning and controlling is also very very important. In my neighborhood in Simpsonville we havev15 new subdivision in 2 years....on Georgia Road and more on the books. It is ridiculous and Unfortunately...Affordable housing and Gentrification is the rule...I heard you say their is something for everyone..Not true. Furman University just published a study ..you need to read. Thank you for your enthusiasm but Greenville very good hiding the real issue s.
You can always depend on someone who knows nothing about something to explain all about it to you. Obviously not familiar with Greenville if you can't even pronounce the names. I wonder how she knows all about what kind of people live on this side of the street and how they differ from the kind of people live on that side of the street? Hummm... 🤔
During my week in Greenville in preparation to decide what area I want to live in, I drove to Greer to check out the town. It was a Monday afternoon and the several shops I saw were closed. Everything closed but for one very ordinary (and not so interesting) Mexican restaurant. It was evident this charming but very quiet city was not calling my name! Thank you for the video nonetheless!
That seems to be the rule in the upstate for local shops. They're closed on Mondays and have limited hours. Easley, Simpsonville, and others are similar. Years ago I visited Pittsburgh PA on a Sunday. The whole city was closed! It was very spooky.

The chief of police here is a past client of mine, as well as my husbands best friend is a police officer here. 🤷🏻♀️ I know a lot about this dept and I can say confidently that it’s not overwhelming.
What makes so surprised is how calm and nice people are. Barely heard any traffic noise. Here in Boston would be 1 hour of people beeping and yelling “move ovah a-hole”. Can’t wait to be there.
Your comment reminds me of a trip my sister took to Boston, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Martha's Vineyard. While she enjoyed some of those places, she swore she'd never set foot in Boston again. She was on a tour bus with a driver who swore and screamed out the window the whole tour. The casual yelling and rudeness she witnessed from people everywhere she went in Boston was quite a culture shock.
@@lorrilewis2178 I guess it’s just a New England way of being. I love Boston, love the people here, the atmosphere the city has but overall people here in NE are kinda like that, more straight forward, small talk and sometimes rude. My wife and I took a trip to Florida early this year and we were so surprised how people were nice even on a McDonalds drive thru… You come to a drive thru in Boston they will literally say “what you want?” when in Florida they would talk to us like we were at a high end restaurant.
@@GabeBorges77 I was in the Boston suburbs on a trip in the 1980s. I didn't see rudeness, but people were more distant than I was used to. It was my sister who really got the ugly side. I also have a male friend who moved to Boston in the 1980s because of his wife's career. He couldn't cope with the attitudes. LOL I'm sure it's nothing remarkable when you're used to it.
I just returned from spending 8 days in a nice downtown hotel. Was missing walking the city but I’ll be living there by the end of this year..if all goes as planned!

I visited and drove around for 2 days. I learned a lot. It helped narrow down which areas I like, and which areas I'm no longer interested in. Housing prices are always a function of location. It's good to see what a certain price buys in a certain area. Some areas come at a premium, while others at a discount.
A street that I want you to go on on Pelham road I want you to say the name of it and everything the road real real real real black the polls real real black be a lot of traffic over there and the house is a real real big and pretty please go on that street one day I'm trying to know the name of the street but I don't know the name of the street so please go on that street one day so you can find it for me please cuz I'm looking for that

So the quick answer is, yes, we sign buyers agency agreements to do business with anyone. The longer answer is I wouldn’t work with anyone who 1) doesn’t present that agreement to you and go over their services and what an agency relationship is, 2) can’t explain that agreement to you or 3) doesn’t use that agreement. As a realtor I have a fiduciary responsibility to my clients and I can’t do that with just a customer relationship. Per our board and the natl association of realtors we are supposed to get an agreement signed before we ever go out to show a house. The industry as a whole got lazy around this and didn’t hold the standard until here recently. Also, a realtor doesn’t earn a paycheck until a property closes, so making sure that time and effort is going to end in a paycheck (obviously it’s not about just a paycheck, but talking business here) this is all very important.
